maybe i fell for the old trap of thinking that beer in a swing-top bottle must be batter quality. was ridiculously aromatic - full freshly-mown grass. softly malty and quite dry

Würziger Geruch. Süßlich würziger Antrunk, leicht getreidiger Unterton. Im Mittelteil wird es noch etwas würziger, auch im Nachgeschmack bleibt dies erfreulicherweise bestehen. Ebenfalls erfreulich ist, dass das Bier gut gehopft ist, was im Mittelteil deutlich wird. Gefällt mir nach wie vor! Test vom 10.1.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,12,12,12,5,12 - 11,35

Bottle from a colleague at work. Pale clear gold with thin white head. Some herby hop on aroma. Really easy drinking rather likeable pils. Really rather good. Slight creaminess. Lovely soft hop on the finish. I love a decrnt pils. Lovely

Swing-top bottle. Creamy barley malt and light grass hops aroma. Medium yellow color with large white head. Bitter grass hops and light barley malt flavor. A very hoppy German Pils.

Bottle brown, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours very shiny and clean golden body colour with moderate carbonation decreasing to small, head is white, frothy, rocky, unstable, distinct lacing.
Aroma: Very nice chalky - grainy, graphite, thin but quite clean and easily catchable aroma of well defined raw grainy background contrasting with faint and fragile citrusy lemon and grapefruit refreshing hoppyness.
Flavour: Well defined representative of its style, focused, clean taste of bitter hops with lemon and grapefruit nose, pure grainy touch at the background, very pleasant bitterness on palate and in the aftertaste combining notes of chalk with notes of cardboard and grains. Finish duration is medium.
Palate: Body is light, texture is wattery, carbonation on palate is moderate, finish feel is moderately astringent, pure, clean, noble in terms of hoppyness in nose.

The bottle looks a little bit boring, but the beer in the glass not. Fine creamy foam, very constant. Sweet aroma, starts dry - finish not too dry, more sweet. Good beer.

Dug up my notes from trying this one about 5 years ago. I bought in a market in Chemnitz, Germany. Medium yellow in color. Hoppy aroma. Flavor is hoppy, but quite a bit on the thin side. Not bad, but there are much better.

Nice big rocky head - long lasting on this light golden colored brew. Light Carbonation. Sweet grain and hay taste. Short inkling of herb and grass in the beginning which goes bye fast. At the end a very ligth comeback. Too bad - the taste itself is nice but too weak!
