2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bubblegum, candied sugar, lemon on the nose. Golden colour with a small white head. The taste starts off cloyingly sweet, to give way to some hoppiness in the finish. Dry, medium body. Pretty average.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
500ml bottle from Aldi - Bright yellow body, clear and fizzy, bold white head. As far as lagers go, this is okay, a bit grassy, but it did the job.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Flip-top from Aldi. Bright gold with a wispy tuft of head gone fast. Aroma of honey, hay, shrub, licked envelope, rubber band and lemon sponge. Brittle and bicarbonate-sprinkled with suggestions of sherbet, paper, rubber and grass. Fairly low end industrial German lager.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ home. Clear lightly pale golden color, medium to full sized white head that lasts for a decent while. Smell and taste malts, lightly hayish, lightly a herbal touch, lightly hops and softly bitter. Decent body and carbontion. Quite nice, one of the better lagers I’ve had lately.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml bottle at home. Pours a nice golden colour, large head that soon disappears. Typical lager aroma of malt and vegetable hop with a peppery nose. Taste: initially sweet with a bitterness quickly following, some fruit and grain. Finish is not a sweet as a helles, but more peppery, dry and leaving one wanting more. Overall, not bad at all. Like some other UK drinkers, I bought this from Aldi with the Dinkelacker Helles (those swing-tops are great for home brew). This is the better beer, in my opinion, due to the spicy bitterness.

Bottle from Aldi. Solid lager. A lager you could take down the pub, to meet your football mates. Clean. Rich sticky malt ones. Strained tobacco and pickled lemon (weak). Fine.

Average German lager, drinkable but not very memorable, just got it for the swing top bottle for home brewing
