| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 9, 2003 Pretty decent brew. Aroma is rather faint. The beer pours up quite attractively. Nice ruby color, pours large fluffy head that is retained throughout and has pronounced lacing. Flavor is initially sweet with a bit of nuttiness, there is a light dash of hop bitterness, and the beer finishes sweetly malty and a tiny bit dry. Is a bit thin in the palate. Pretty good beer. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 27, 2003 Dark brown, a little head. Fine dark, roasted aroma. Flavor with chocolade and a hint of laqurice. SchlossyMcSaus (75), San Marcos, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 9, 2003 Dark but clear orange forms up a small head. Sweet honey like odor. THis doesn't into the taste too much and I am only briefly reminded of the aroma in the aftertaste. Strange, but it is not as sweet and filling as I would have imagined and yet it is satisfying in the belly. Sully (1367), Woolloomooloo, New South Wales, Australia
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 5, 2003 Top marks for the bottle. It pours with a great coppery colour and a subtle malty nose. The mouthfeel is thin and while it is a pleasant beer it isn't a reach for another style. aracauna (2427), Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 21, 2003 Pours the color of really dark tea. The carbonation is fine, but the head is hard to form, although what does form does have decent lasting power. The aroma is clean and malty. The body has a bit of caramel, and something that's making me think of charcoal, although I wouldn't describe it as being burt, something else in the character of charcoal is in here. The hops are present but only lightly and provide a subtle spiciness. I think my bottle was a bit old as it had a flavor that I've come to associate with old beer (maybe it's oxidation, but it tastes nothing like wet cardboard to me, nor like a skunk). Fairly easy drinking and not bad for a dark lager. kmeves (1081), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 23, 2003 I tried trading for this brew and they couldn't get it.Fortunately i found it in a small liquor store that had many new brews i haven't had. Here we go.Very nice dark red color, slight head with a mild amount of lacing.Malty aroma, slight sweetness as well. The flavor i thought was quite good.malty faint hints of fruit hard to say which kind. The after taste is ok roasted malt, mild bitterness. Not bad but not great eather.Still well worth the exsperience, and the bottle is pretty cool as well one that i will have to save.
