3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
2 liter swingtop bottle, from Dutch’s for $18. Shared with friends. Clear golden orange color. Thin off-white head. Good dots and ropes of lace. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Lightly creamy. Light slick body. Lightly dry finish. Toasty caramel malt, lightly spicy, light rough bite to it. Lightly peppery. The flavor overall is slightly below average for an oktoberfest, but it’s still pretty solid and classicly german style. Nothing great or impressive about it, just a solid oktoberfest. Moderate sweet taste, very light bitter. Decent stuff. Mild metallic. Huge bottle was very fun ("I’m trying to cut back so I only brought ONE beer!!") and a great price for the 2 liter format.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sample @ "Germany" in EPCOT during the Food & Wine festival 2014. Pours clear medium golden color with white head. Very pale for an Oktoberfest beer, at least compared to what I have had. Aromas of cereal malts and grass. Similar flavors. Medium body with average carbonation. Seems more pilsner-like than Oktoberfest.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at Epcot. Poured a ridiculously light straw body for an Oktoberfest, fluffy bright white head. Aroma is corn, malts, grass. Flavor is the same as the aroma but add in some toast. Luckily the body is medium with crisp carbonation that makes the refreshing, but still a ripoff at Epcot prices, for the FL heat.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Craaazy light. Had to check with bartender that it was right beer. Crisp body. Good balance of European malts with some good yeast. A good beer, but not what I’d call an Oktoberfest at all in taste or appearance.

I was very disappointed with this beer very light and tastes like a pilsner more than anything.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
.52 gallon bottle with flip top...nice. Golden, lemony beer that reminded me more of a wheat than a Marzen. OK to drink...would be good ice cold on a hot day.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden-cloudy, white head and minor lacing. Citrus, lemon, and mildly floral aroma. Medium bodied, lemony, citrus, medium bitterness, mild dry zing. More pilsner like than Marzen.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
2 Litre swingtop. Pours copper with a white head. Smells of some floral hints, some lemon, dry malt. Tastes minerally with some light noble hop presence on the finish. Light, drinkable lager that borders on a pale lager.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On the light side of the scale, this beer from the source looks yellow, a little thin in the edges, as it pours. The body fills in a bit as it fills the glass, though it leans lighter with a yellow hue in what finally reveals itself as a pale orange body. The head, off-white, is soft but rises to nearly a finger. Retention is pretty good, and the lace left is mostly spotty with a little patching accompanying.
While clean, the aroma's fairly light, but it's not exactly weak. It is a little fainter than it should be. Along with fruitiness, caramel and biscuit dough, there's a slight grainy astringency, but it's not too strong.
Sturdy malts offer the traditional mix of toast and caramel as well as fruiter type of sweetness. Slightly spicy with a bit of leaf, and a touch herbal as well, the hops definitely seem to be German.
The body is light to medium, certainly lighter than Americanized bersions, but with biting crispness and steady carbonation all the way.
