On tap last night at Epcot. Very solid Okt. Poured by a girl from Stuttgart, fine city! Very nice balance with the required malty sweetness. A good example.

This marzen wasn’t too shabby. The yeasty, fruity and malty aromas were all there - even in the taste. The only thing I didn’t like TOO much about the taste was that it was very hoppy for an Oktoberfest beer. Perhaps that’s what made it so refreshing though - a light bodied and crisp lager.

Draft at rocky german pavilion. Grassy malts, semi sweet but bready, nice color and very easy to drink.

Giant bottle thanks to 17thfloor for sharing. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma is Malty honey with some grain and bread notes . Flavor has some fruitiness which is offputting with some sweet grain and bread notes. Simple sweet grainy notes and a slightly bitter finish. Medium body and crisp carbonation.

Clear gold with an average white head. Aroma of grass and grainy malt. Taste is pretty much the same; a little sweet malt and some grass. Medium body, lively carbonation.

a very clean tasting beer, had an average amount of malt and hops with only a touch of fizz. its a beer that is almost perfect for the Octoberfest style. I really enjoyed it.

Tasted this beer at epcot. it was served on tap. I can’t say i was disappointed in this beer, but i was expecting a little more from a German oktoberfest offering. I liked it, but i could find cheaper domestic beers that are comparable and in the end it is about cost and availability as well as taste.

2 liter bottle. Bought more for the bottle than anything. Aroma is sweet malt, can smell a hint of roast. Appearance is golden brown, crystal clear. Taste is bright caramel malty. Almost a slight hint of sour that really makes this crisp and refreshing. Slight roast caramel flavor. Noble hops bitterness lingers nicely in the end. Palate is crisp and refreshing. Hops do a nice job of balancing out the rich malt. Again there is a hint of lemon or some sort of a sour that really brightens this up and makes it very crisp. I assume this is aroma hopping? Overall a very nice beer. Could use a hint more malt depth, but unique and one of the better of the style. Very surprised it is such an impressive beer coming in such a gigantic gaudy bottle.

2 Liter bottle from Binny’s Lincoln Park. Pours a very attractive gold with orangey tints at the middle. Fluffy white head. The large format seems to have sucked some of the carbonation out, but not in a bad way. Nose is toasty and bready, light noble hop aromatics as well. Very clean. On tasting, nice light hop notes pair nicely with a fresh and robust malt profile. Lots of toasty malt and bready finish. Great beer.
