Somewhat smokey aftertaste with a nice head & good color. It is brew of soem authority & was very good with food. Aroma is somewhat piquant.

Golden to light amber color, hazy. Typical spicy aroma, light. Original taste, very good mix of a quite aggressive German wheat beer with a nice smokey taste (delicate), contuinueing in the final.

The first time I had this one the beer was so I date, I can remember having two sips and dumping the rest. A fresh sample - Deep amber color with a light off white head. Hay and strong ham aroma. Mild wheat sweetness along with an abrupt smoky flavor. finishes with a nutty driness. Smoked sausages anyone?

it’s not a great beer but it is one of a kind. a very weird composty aroma didn’t really hint at the full bacon taste that was to follow. not very salty bacon though. softens a bit as you get through the beer - some manadarin peel tang and vague graininess. apple juice colour. well worth a try

Light wheat and chocolate flavours are complemented by a subtle smokyness. A light, refreshing beer.

Nut brown, hazy, crystlized sugar-aroma, slightly smokey. Weird but tasty.

pleasant mix of wheat and smoke aroma but not pretty to look at and thin and dry with a slight metallic taint in the mouth. Needs more body.

This was the last of a vast number of beers i tried, so my tastebuds could have been off, but it had a flavor of burned leaves that did not go too well with the light body - i prefer the Steinbier.

The lively body seems to carry the smoke flavours well. I prefer this to the Steinbier, and I like the steinbier a lot.
