2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours dark mahogany with a light brown, bubbly head. Roasty, malty aroma with some molasses and bread. Watery mouthfeel really detracts from this one. Toffee, caramel ice-cream topping, and a metallic bite round out the taste. Tart finish. Disappointing.

Deep amber with a decent white head. Malt, a touch of hops, toffee, and spice. Medium body with a watery texture. Buttered biscuit in the flavor but still unappealing.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear nubrown color with a fine though fast disappearing light brown head. Powerfull aroma of roasted nuts and loads of dusty hobs giving it a metallic scent in a nice way. Mouthfull is very bitter, again with a metallic tough, some toasted bread and suprisingly present alchohol. Lingering bitterness.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This dunkel pours a deep brown color from a 50cl swing top bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel and sweet, touch of fruit. A medium bodied dunkel. The malts are fruity, caramel and semi sweet. The hops are earthy and spicy. There is a touch of tartness/sourness here as well. Nice balance. Good carbonation. There is a touch of spiciness at the finish. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Floral hop aroma backed by some caramel. Dark mahogany color with a vigorous beige head. Thinnish body with near creamy carbonation. The flavor is caramel/toffee with floral notes and enough bitter to almost balance. There seems to be nutty spice with a light underlying sour note. For a lager this is really over the top on flavor and pizazz. The finish is not quite dry, but the floral bitter is right on. I say this is way underrated. Really tasty.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This beautiful reddish brown dunkel, has a fairly OK head. The aroma is malty and the mouth feeling is smooth. The flavour is sweet and malty with notes of candy sugar, fruit, honey and fermented apple. An unexpected bitterness turns up in the finish, and gives a nice citrussy counterweight to the sweet impression. This beer should be tasted when cold.
