Jul 19, 2008 From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy dark orange to copper with a creamy and off-white head. Mild caramel malty and slight breadish - with thin butter aroma. Light fruity too. Bitter and caramel and munich malt flavour, light liqourice note too. Light spiced too. Light roasted malt and growing bitterness into the finish.

Jun 10, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Hazy amber, creamy medium off-white head. Fruity and nutty malt aroma, with butterscotch, wood, and herbal hops. Light to medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Well balanced, dry and bitter finish.

Cloudy orange brown color, face latte colored head. Buttery, spicy, caramel and roasted taste. A distinct wood character. Slight acidic, roasted and sweet scent. Medium to thin mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Comments: One of the good dunkels in Berlin. Good-looking and straight out crisp palate which is a nice change. Still firm in maltiness with hefty grape and chocolate notes. Very good.
