2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
33cl bottle, label looking cleaner than the dirty spilled stock photo here. - Pours a great-looking dark brown with beige head, then it goes downhill: obtrusive yeast spiced nose, livelier-than-stout mouthfeel, carmel sugars, yeast, some acidity, malt syrup, cocoa powdering the tongue with a faint aftertaste, alcohol reaching up the nose. rough and hard to finish, even as a sipper. Ambetanterik with criminal intenterik.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
22nd June 2012
Hazy dark brown beer. Tidy pale tan head. Palate is crispy and semi dry. Smooth malt with a trace of toffee. Fair bit of aniseed but not too much alcohol warmth. Minerals and a trace of molasses. Chocolate and aniseed in the dry finish. A bit clunky!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ brugs bierfest. Pours a very dark brown beer, almost black with a beige head. Aroma is very malty and alcoholic. Flavor is very sweet and alcoholic, hard to digest. Not easy drinkable, not that enjoyable, but decent.
