Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear dark mahogany red color, medium sized off-white head. Aroma reminds me of an Abbey Dubbel, at least there is no way this is an Imperial Stout. Taste reminds me a bit of an Abbey Dubbel mixed with a Quadrupel: lightly sweet, lightly alcohol, some caramel. Medium body and carbonation. Not a bad beer imo, butcertainly not an Imperial Stout by a long shot. Admins should change this style to Abt/Quadrupel imo.

What an unexpected delight from this small brewery. This beer is complex, rich and sweet in a good way.

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2014 33cl bottle, label looking cleaner than the dirty spilled stock photo here. - Pours a great-looking dark brown with beige head, then it goes downhill and uphill in terms of drinkability: obtrusive yeast spiced nose, livelier-than-stout mouthfeel, caramel sugars, yeast, some acidity, malt syrup, cocoa powdering the tongue with a faint aftertaste, alcohol reaching up the nose. rough and hard to finish, even as a sipper. Ambetanterik with criminal intenterik.

A dark brown colored beer, with a foamy beige head. The aroma of dark fruits with malt and notes of chocolate. The taste of fruits like cherries with chocolate, notes of coffee and alcohol. The aftertaste is sweet with chocolate bitter.

Bottle at Gainsbar, Kortrijk, 22/03/13. Split with Leighton and Bruce. Very dark mahogony brown/light black in light with a thin tan head that dissipates edgeward. Nose is black forest gateux, sugars, touch of yeast, chocolate. Taste is treacle toffee, sweet brown sugar, yeast, light spice, hint of chocolate, dark fruits. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Ok.
