3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled @ ZBF 2015. Clear dark golden, little white head. Nose is odd aspirin bitterness, some hops, tad fizzy. Taste is floral & aspirin bitterness, hay, malty, tad boozy, sugar, touch overripe fruits,… Bit thin & fizzy. Odd with the aspiring bitterness but okay. (Thx! for sharing people!)

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
. Yet another gusher made at the alvinne brewery .
Pouring in the glass is - as to be expected - harder than usual . HUGE white head over a fuzzy blonde beer . Glass is full, but bottle still produces more foam than it can contain ...
---- getting really sick of this , especially since its nearly always by the same brewery, even though they make great beers and they are great people, this problem is big and should be fixed by last year !!!
Foam - luckely - fades rather quickly .
Smell is bitter, you can even smell the Alvinne-yeaststrain morpheus ( yet no-one is probably sure wether its ment to be in here ) . Taste starts sweet , than turns intense , sharp bitterness . Some funky , brett-like character ( reminds a bit to the Struise moeder lambic ) I love the taste of this beer, to be honoust. Carbo - all expectations asside - is pretty nice.
Very good beer, but awefull in handling. They should fix this , since beers like these are nothing to sell in any pub...
Would get about a 4 if not gushing this bad

Bottle @ Fiere Margriet, Leuven. Murky orange/amber colour. Creamy white foam. Aroma of caramel, some sugar, spices and light hoppy finish. Ok, nothing special.

Excellente bière amère, me fait penser à la XX Bitter de De Ranke. Reste bien accrochée au palet.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Een bier waarvan je aan de naam zou denken dat het heel bitter is, maar het is niet zo bitter. Het valt heel goed mee van smaak

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Alteratief’s attempt at an American-style double or triple IPA, since 2009. Thin, creamy white, loose head, colour a cloudy yellow blonde. Fruity aroma with peach and pineapple, but more than anything lots of jute- and pepper-like hops, also hints of grass and mint. Rounded peachy fruitiness in the onset with citrus and sweet malts dominated by a long and spicy, leafy, peppery hop bitterness that lasts a long time as to be expected in this style, oily mouthfeel, also some warming alcohol in the finish, unsurprisingly. One of Alternatief’s best brews so far, in my opinion.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @home. Has some yeast stuck to the bottom. Pours golden/light amber with creamy head. Aroma is bitter, ripe fruit, exotic fruit, bit spicy. Taste sweet, ripe fruit, bit alcoholic. Dry finish. Not as bitter as expected. Must admit the bottle didn’t look that appealing just because of the way the label was put on the bottle. I don’t like glue coming out.
