COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed at Heule by breweryhirer ’t Alternatief (Izegem).
Kleur 5 EBC , Bitterheid 28 EBU , 5 vol % alcohol.

This is the 3th time taste this beer, how more i’ll drink how more i love it. Yesterday @ home. Bottle, 33 cl. Hazy golden color, good white head. Aroma hops, fruits, bit strange spice. Medium body. Taste very good character for a low alcholoic beer. Spice, hops, little sourness. A refreshing beer.

Bottle at beer festival of Vorst-Laakdal (Chiro). Hazy yellow-gold beer with a white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma. The flavor is slightly sourish and has some notes of lemon which makes it a very refreshing beer. For me the best of ’t Alternatief I had so far.

Huge light-yellow head, very fine and dense and extremely stable over fully hazy chromate yellow beer. Spicy, EU hops, something sweet in the nose (strange, as this is a full-malt beer). Nice, fresh aromas, whatever. Dry, again rather spicy taste, with more hops that are present, but missing a bit of distinction maybe. Peppery, chamomille-like flavour, and faintly sourish. Titillating, spritzy MF, refreshing even, but fading in taste. By far the best of ’t Alternatief tasted. This could vie with the subtop Kölsch beers, from which it has a lot of characteristics. But certainly not one you’ld want to age.

Sampled at Zythos Beer Festival, March 7th and 8th 09 Pours amber with an off white head. Sweet malty base gives way to a reasonable bitterness. Quite full flavoured even a touch of spicy milk chocolate comes from somewhere? A nice beer but suffered from being consumed alongside the De Dolle Cosmic Porter which was stunning. Bottle from Den Bierzolder. Finally a hazy pale golden beer appeared under the huge foam. Yeasty and fruity aroma, very typical of a Belgian blond ale. A bit sweet, definitely fruity, a light hand on the spices. Well-crafted.

Managed to catch most of the beer in a glass thanks to reading previous raters’ comments- this one exploded just the same. Settles into a hazing yellow-amber with a slim, creamy head. Pleasant, lemony aroma with hints of horse, grassy hop, pine, lemongrass-like spice and suggestion of actual lime or lemon juice, like a Berliner weisse. Sharp, spicy flavour - coriander and maybe ginger, with a more unusual chick pea-squeezed-with lime and lightly coniferous, pine needle character taking over. Lime juice and crackers aftertaste. Unusual, likeable brew with good spucey, grassy hops and that dash of horse.

(Bottled) Hazy yellow-golden with a huge, gushing head (wonder what’s the matter with Alvinne nowadays). Honey-fruity, quite pleasant aroma with a touch of grassy hops. Familiar, yeasty Alvinne house flavor with pale, honeyish and fruity maltiness, and a hint of acidity. Light to medium body, low carbonation (after gushing). Quite good for the ABV, but they should learn to control the carbonation.
