Appears to be a storm in the glass, vibrant orange. Aroma of distant hay. Nice sour taste with an acidic edge with notes of citrus. Very sour finish, but no dryness evident. Very nice one.

Bottle at The Diamond.Poured a cloudy brown, like cloudy apple juice. The nose has some sourness to it. and was on the malty side. Interesting what I guess would be a combination beer, some american style hops, some sourness, all combined with belgian yeasts. Hoppy dry finish.Pretty tastey.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2009 (Bottled) Very hazy amber with a medium, tight and creamy head (well, after 3/4 of the beer had gushed out into the table and floor). Tart, caramely-fruity and herby-spicy, quite Orval-like aroma. Very fruity, plesantly tart flavor with some sweetness from the caramel malt, and a peppery-spicy, bitter-hoppy finish. Alcohol is fully hidden. Medium-bodied with slightly foamy carbonation. Need to resample this beautiful beer with a less "active" bottle. Update: tried another one, with the same results :(

Poured hazy golden with dense white head. Funky sour, Bret aroma. Horseblanket, sour, gueuze like flavor. Carbonation is low so mouthfeel is full on the tongue. Sharp flavor but clean. Nice find at Dive 96 in NYC

The pour reveals a cloudy amber color with a very thick, frothy, white head. Very nice aroma of saaz hops and peppery yeast. The flavor is very good, saaz hops. strong dryness and peppery yeast mingle nicely. The body is medium and the carbonation is lively. Yet another solid product brewed at Alvinne.
