Hazy dark amber color; medium head. Light aroma of caramel and vegetables. Some caramel flavor, and a lot of cabbage/vegetables; low bitterness; dry finish.
Unpleasant.

wimpie133 (380) - Brugge, BELGIUM - JUN 10, 2011
Bottle, 33 cl. Amber to golden coloured beer, some yeast swimming around beautifully. Big beige head. Strong and nice smell of malts and fruits, combined with some sweetness and fresh hops. Taste is fruity and malty with a strong hoppy touch on your tongue. Malty background, hoppy foreground and the finish is bitter. Tasty beer!

Bontus (625) - Flanders, BELGIUM - OCT 9, 2010
Bottle from the Alvinne Proefzolder. Opens slightly gushing. Pours oversaturated murky orange, huge foamy beige head. Nose had something unpleasant sulfuric (from ít putjen) but that faded away after a while. Aroma mainly malty, caramel, a bit of chocolate. Some sour flavor in it, lots of yeast. Had a hard time finishing this, thus a pour drain.

25/09/2010 - 33cl @ Karakterbierfestival Bissegem

Pours a little cloudy amber coloured head, adhesive white head with fine lacing. Aroma is fruity with caramel and a hint of passion fruits. MF is sparkling, with a medium body. Taste is freshly sour, fruity, some caramel and roasted malts. Aftertaste is sour with roasted malts, citrus and some hops. One of my favorites at the festival! (come to thing of it, why did I buy other bottles from Alternatief and not this one? tssss...)

(Bottled) Slightly hazy amber with a medium, lacy head. Aroma of caramely, earthy maltiness. Flavor is berryish, lightly yeasty, sweet-sourish, caramely-malty. Medium body, quite high and foamy carbonation. A decent brew, but nothing special. 5245

yngwie (13198) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 22, 2010
Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A hazy, orange-golden beer with a creamy, off-white head sitting on top. Some citrus and sourness in the rather boring aroma. White sugar, fruits and hints of caramel in the flavor. Fulll-bodied and with a papery feeling. A strange one, and not impressive in any way either. 091024

chriso (7347) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2010
Cask at the White Horse on Parson Green Belgian Beer Festival, 30 August 2009. Orange in colour. Tart and slightly sweet fruit throughout. Quite volatile, estery aroma. Poor notes but I was gabbing too much to Glenn from Alvinne who had come over because he had never tasted any of their beers on cask before. Even if, strictly, this wasnít entirely one of theirs, although I donít know how much of the work the Alternatief people do.

Ethereal (2417) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 31, 2009
Cask at the White Horse, Belgian Festival, 30th Aug 09. Cloudy amber. Fruity and sweet but a bit heavier and duller than the Halleschelle. Hint of sourness. Overall, not one Iíd come back to.
