BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Jul 1, 2008 A bit of apple spice in the nose, and some caramel malt, which follows through onto the palate. Very sessionable, but nothing to write home about. jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Nov 1, 2006 on tap-pours a light tan head and amber/brown color with effervescence. Aroma is medium malt, hops. Taste is balanced medium malt-caramel, hops. OK carbonation. BrewSquid (45), Plattsburg, Missouri, USA Sep 8, 2006 This is just another ’not-too-noteworthy’ brown ale. It is very drinkable but I wouldn’t go out of my way to obtain it. harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jul 4, 2006 Fragrant floral nose, followed by fresh bread and just a hint of spice. Some nice fruitiness upfront, with a caramel malt base and grassy herbal hoppiness. Well balanced. Aubrey (2614), Denver, Colorado, USA Sep 16, 2004 Medium amber; caramel-colored. Decent head, nice lace. Nice malts, with flavors of toasted bread, light grains, and a little roast. Sweet, but tame, base of caramel and toffee. Balancing hops (flowers, grass) with a complementing level of bitterness. Hint of sourness as well. Pretty drinkable with some nice things going on.
