on tap-pours a light tan head and copper/brown color. Aroma is sweet dark malt, nutty. Taste is sweet dark malt, nutty, roasty, smooth. OK carbonation.

Aroma: Toasted malts and nutty
Taste: Toasted malts and nuts a bitter finish
Nice easy drinking brown.

Nose is caramel & pretzel, some butterscotch. Flavor is nice roast, caramel maltiness but a bit buttery.

On tap in Laramie. Impressive place for the town. Color was an orange/brown, which was a bit unusual for the style. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and coffee; a nice blend. Flavor was basically the same; caramel, coffee/roasted malt, brown malt. Some breadiness. Probably liked this more than most.

Starts off quite nicely with some nutty chocolate notes, and then completely drops off with a bland watery finish.

Sampled at GABF 2007. Dark copper with a thin white head. Mild nut aroma. Slight chocolate flavor, but fairly watery and benign.

Nothing to write home about! This is a good session ale but not remarkable.

This was kind of nice for such a light take on this style. Rich, malty, but creamy and nutty as well. Some nice caramel mixed with some nuts and honey, and rounded off with some roasted chocolate notes. LIngering flavor of fresh dark wheat bread.

Draught. Pours dark brown caramel with a rocky tan foamy head and blotchy lacing. Sweet caramel malt aroma with a chocolate nose. Chocolate bitter caramel dark roasted malt flavor. Medium bodied and creamy palate.

Brown with a ruby-red glow; creamy, light tan head with pretty decent lace. Light and creamy texture, albeit a little watery at times. Alcohol is somewhat evident; kind of fruity. Notes of nuts and darkly toasted bread. A little sweet (milk, caramel) and sour, too.
