Commercial Description:
A well balanced beer, our porter is a degree less intense than our stout. It is a dark ale with a malty flavor and strong hop character.

On tap in Laramie. Impressive place for the town. Not a great version of the style and rather bland. Color was black with a brown head. Aroma of roasted malt and oats. Flavor was ok, but just a bit mellow, with the above mentioned flavor components. Ok.

I found this to be a very typical porter. Chocolately with a light bit of roastiness. Milky creaminess and smooth on the palate. Finishes with a milky maltball kind of artificial flavor.

on tap-pours a creamy tan head and black color. Aroma is chocolate-dark malt, roasty. Taste is chocolate-dark malt, roasty. Medium body. Smooth. Mild carbonation. Usually not my taste, but could enjoy this one occasionally.

I’ve had better. I detected a slight medicinal (band-aid) flavor . . . sanitation problem. . . ?

Not the greatest porter I have ever tried. Has a bit of a lactic sweetness, followed immediately by a sourness. Roasted and citric, with chocolate and overly roasted coffee flavors. Finishes thin and watery.

Clear and deep, dark brown. Very sweet-smelling nose. Thinnish body with a light carbonation. Rather sweet, with big flavors of toffee and some chocolate. A little sourness as well. Overall, it had some nice flavors, but it was missing some elements I look for in a porter.

Dark and clear brown. Light and sweet chocolate malts and coffee flavor, very bright. Somewhat sour aroma of old milk and malts, but a pleasant flavor.
