BlackDonald (1040), North Carolina, USA Jul 1, 2008 Not exactly sure if I would call this a biere de garde, came across as more of a witbier, although a bit more amped up. Wheaty cereal maltiness, toasted grains, with a lovely spicy nose. Has a touch of earthiness on the palate, and is overall nicely balanced, and quite drinkable. One of their better beers. harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jul 4, 2006 Mmm, I like the nose on this, just a bit of bubblegum, some nice carbonation levels, leaving a bit of sticky lacing after the head recedes. Medium bodied, with some nice clove qualities. Body is bittersweet and caramelly. Not bad at all. jimhilt (1402), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Jun 29, 2006 On tap at Altitude Chop House Laramie, WY. Pours with a two-finger white head, goes quickly leaving a good lace. Clear amber color. Very light carbonation, medium body Starts as a mix of malts and hops, sour finish, with some lingering sourness. $2.50 for 16oz. glass. The ABV is 7.3%.
