Tap, at the brewpub. Amber bronze, moderate white head and gentle condition. Malty sweet with a developing milky lactic note developing in the aroma. Quite chalky in the mouth with malt dominating be some hop flavour noticable in the background. Quite a pronounced hoopy resinous note lingering in the aftertaste. A question for motelpogo, what the hell is a helleseses?

Draught at the brewpub. Poured a slightly hazy, lovely golden body with an off white head. Pretty much no aroma, maybe some light huskiness? Hay & eggs? Crappy light beety taste. The mouthfeel is nice, mind you, but there’s not much to it overall and I’m quite sure that all four of us who were there considered it to be by far the worst of the bunch.

Head is mostly diminishing.
Body is dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), with a STRONG note of butter/diacetyl, light note of soured fruit.
Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, husky, unclean.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
An absolute butter bomb. Horrible.

En fût. Verre de 200 ml dégusté directement à la brasserie. Arôme: Odeur de céréales avec une pointe d’Houblons. Apparence: La couleur est cuivrée. Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Léger goût de céréales et d’houblons avec une pointe fruitée. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement onctueuse. Faible effervescence en bouche. Arrière goût légèrement fruité. (Rating #3851)

On tap at Brewpub, Nurnberg. Golden color with medium white head. Aroma of grain, red fruits. Taste very fruity, grain, bitter hops. Nice long bitter finish. Drinkable.

My Bottom Line :
Sweetish bready malts and herbal hops play around an engaging fluffy mouthfeel for a pleasant session lager.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A clinging veil of foam can be seen even when the beer reaches the bottom of the krug.
-Apart from the fact this was served in a ceramic krug, this tasted and felt like a Kellerbier all the way. Good job!
-The malt profile is not as sophisticated or clearly defined as some of the best Helles I’ve had, but its rusticity is endearing.
-Herbal hops produce lenient bitterness.
-I felt like having a second pint of this Helles, which is exactly the point, right?.

500 mL in a pot tankard at Altstadthof Hausbrauerei in Nurnberg. Fairly liquid head, looked quite dark but that was probably the effect of the tankard. Tastes more roasted than a normal helles. I was pretty indifferent to this.

From tap a the brewpb. Pours clear and golde yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild butterish, toasted malty and light grassy bitter. Ends dry and bitter.

one of the best helles i ever had good taste and after taste. very smooth drinking and a very good drink with german food. i rate this beer as the king of the helles.

Süffiger Antrunk, vollmundig hopfig und wenig hefig. Würzig-fruchtig im Mittelteil, was sich dem Hopfen aber unterordnet. Das Bier ist mittelintensiv, sehr harmonisch und stimmig. Überzeugendes Helles mit abwechslungsreichen Noten, vor allem im hellmalzigen Abgang. 9/11/11/12//11
