Slightly hazy yellow color, small creamy white head, some lace. Perfumic wheaty-banana aroma. Starts light, then a bit vinegardish hoppyness turning to some banana flavors. Unfermented sugars. Hops and sugars in the aftertaste.

Draught at the brewpub... great, I figured it would be on the site, so I just had it down as "Hefe", but neither that nor "Sommerweisse" was its name. And there’s no mention of it online. Just great. Anyway, this poured a lovely misty apricot-orange body with a thick, slightly off white head. The nose is immediately promising, very pungent yet soft - cloves, light banana, very light lemony sourness. It’s sweet and very, very nice. And the taste... finally doesn’t disappoint - a nice sweetish clove assault ending with on a banana note before falling into dryness. Holy shit, surprisingly good and an even better surprise. this is... whoa. Thumbs up. Three even if needed.

En fût. Verre de 200 ml dégusté directement à la brasserie. Arôme: Légère odeur de bananes et d’épices. Apparence: La couleur est orangée opaque. Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Présence de bananes et de clous de Girofle en arrière goût. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement onctueuse. Faible effervescence en bouche. Légère présence de bananes en arrière goût. (Rating #3853)

From tap a the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is estery and fruity. Sweet fruity, mild citric and estery yesty. Mild bitter and citric finish.

Part of the Nurnberg Beer Raid 2011. On tap at the the brewpub Nurnberg, Germany. Pours a hazy yellow color with a thick, rocky, foamy, long lasting white head. Aroma is clove and bananas, with lots spice, somewhat dry, creamy and pine. Taste is the much same, but but even creamier. Palate is alive and very nice. This is a different Weisse.

Süffig-hefiger und leicht herber Antrunk, noch etwas hefiger werdend. Nun konstant, spritzig-süffig. Zum Ende erneut würziger, sehr harmonisch, erst hier bananig. Gelungen! 12/10/11/10//11

vom Fass at Hausbrauerei Altstadthof in Nürnberg. Poured hazy dark golden in color with fluffy white head. Fruity, wheat and banana in aroma, with some yeast. Wheat and banana in flavour. Quite yeasty in aftertaste. Decent hefeweissbier.

As "Weizen". Cloudy yellow. Fluffy head. Fruity, with some banana. Quite sugary on the nose. Fluffy character with sugar, banana and the first diacetyl I’ve ever encountered in a weizen.

Draft @ brewpub. Cloudy pale/dull yellow with a nice lasting head. Aroma is strange and problematic. Sour, damp towel, and overripe fruit. Decent palate is not too eyasty. Very yogurty with wild berry flavors. Is dirty, watery, and weird but isn’t completely undrinkable.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2011 (draught, at the brewpub) pours a hazy yellow colour with a tall, lasting white head. aroma is mostly clove and banana, with notes of sharp hop spice, dry wheat, light yoghurt and spruce needles. flavour is the same, but more smooth and less subtle. medium body with lively carbonation.
