Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Slightly hazy amber golden with a creamy beige head leaving laces. Leaky and gushing bottle. Tart, woody aroma. Light body, tart with good woody accents and a light fruitiness. Dry, sour finish with a hint of metal. Should be classified as a Sour - and itís a good one. 220809

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
It floods out of the bottle upon opening and the beer is unclear copper-orange-golden. The aroma is sour with notes of yeast, fruit and wood. The flavor is like sour wine and vinegar with notes of wood and fruit, and the finish is tart. Sounds worse, but itís kind of OK.

A Mes rate. Bottle at home.
An awesome clean golden brown colour. Amazing calvados / apple aroma with caramel, burnt sugar, excellent fruity notes and just the right amount of barrel. The flavour is even better. Again the barrel notes are stunning and in perfect harmony with the fruit, wine and tarty sourness. Excellent dry mouth feel makes it hugely drinkable. Not brimming with complexity but what it does, it does exceptionally well. Basically itís superb wine barrel notes with a simple but excellent base beer. Alvinne continue to go from strength to strength.

[2412-20090801] Bottle. Barrel-on-the-floor aroma also suggests fruit and beans. Hazy, dark tan orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Sweet fruity malt flavour has a long wood barrel aftertaste. Medium-full body. Average, didnít really capture my interest.
