Bottled. Aroma of cardamon, ginger, raisin, complex but not overdone. Very dark brown color, ligh brown fine head, very nice lace. Medium body, sweet, cardamon, light ginger, hint of raisin, strong licorice finish, medium body. Quite complex flavors but I love the soft cardamon and spices in the aroma but not in the flavor so much. This beer must age great I guess.

Bottled. Dark reddish brown coloured. Light brown head. Brown cakes (in danish brunkager), cloves, cinnamon, berries and very christmaslike aroma. Continues into the flavour. Loads of christmasspice, sweetness and berries. Flavour a bit more bland than aroma, but still quite dense. Medium bodied. Light dry mouthfeel. Has a fruity and sweet end. Nice one.

Bottle, bought @ Plan B.
[vintage 2004]
Pours a murky dark brown with a nice frothy off white head - leaving lots of lacing. Aroma is musty, lots of fruits - raisins, plums, prunes and a great green tea herbal edge to it. Nice, creamy mouthfeel - very full. Flavour is lightly oxidated, lightly vinious, but with a great deal of fruity malts - raisins and figs dominate nicely with a spicy, vinious finish. Nice.

From the bottle at the Kerstbierfestival. pours black-brown with dark brown highlights, tan head. Nose is roasty, with licorice and dried, dark fruits. The flavor matches it, bitter and boozy, with some fruit notes and more licorice. Dry and bitterish finish.

Pours a very dark chestnut brown color with mahogany edges when held to a light source and a one finger tan head that quickly fades into a lasting ring. Not much in the way of lacing. Chocolate malt aroma with hints of dark fruit, candi sugar, citrus peel and ginger. Spicy ginger flavor up front followed by a silky chocolate maltiness with hints of plum, raisin and fig as well as a slightly sour citrus peel presence. The finish is dry and slightly tart. This is another complex and unique offering from Alvinne

Pours dark brownish red with a red/brown head. The aroma is spices, with overripe fruit, alcohol, plums, orange and brown sugar. The flavor is fruity and tart like tangerines. Very citrusy and spicy, particularly ginger. Subtle notes of plums and raisins. Pretty tasty stuff.

Malt and holiday spice aroma. Moderate balanced taste with a nice spice finish. Reminds me a bit of a pumpkin ale. Good for a holiday.
