Thankx to Erwin to share this one with me! Pours out very dark brown with a nice medium head, but just a lace stays. Smell is nice spicey, alcohol, sweetness, lots of candy-sweetness, frtuis. Decent smell for sure, maye a bit to sweet. More sourness at the taste then expected, a bit of an unpleasant sourness, itís not overwhelming, ití just not totally fitting at the taste it seems. Besides that... some sweetness comes trough, earhty, frtuis, candy-sucre. Itís ok, drinkís nice, but the smell is better for sure. Some yeast also at the taste comes trough, makes the end a bit bitter-sour.

750 ml bottle courtesy of BigMomma, shared with steptin. Cloudy orange color, off white head. Aroma of dirt, summer fruits, raisins. Taste is a bit metallic, sweet/sour fruit. Not one of their best.

From corked bottle @ BBF 2010. Deep dark brown color. Roasted maltaroma with cellar notes. Roasted, alcoholic flavor with dried apple and grapes. Good, but not my favorite barley wine.

Bottle@2ndBorefts. Wonderful aroma but Iím afraid another Alvinne beer that I donít get. Itís a bit unbalanced and the yeast is too dominant.

Bottle at 2nd BBF @ De Molen. Slightly sweet flavor, some slight sourness. Fruits and hops. Slightly rough and messy brew with a murky color and a slightly boozy finish. Not bad though.

Bottle at Boreft Bier Festival 2010, Bodegraven. Almost black with some red glow coloured brew. Taste of dried fruits, and this one is very drinkable due the high alcohol (slightly dangerous).
