Keg at Nuetnigenough, 16th September 15. Poured a little dark and murky. Aroma is complex and deep. Taste is full, booze and barrel, oak, vinous and interesting some spice, almost a slight curry power, from the yeast, very nice, different and interesting

(On tap @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Sept 4 2015) Pours hazy medium brown with a small off white head and lace. Aroma dry, caramel core restrained, stewed pear, tart red fruits, oak, leather, dry leaves, lightly roasted, some alcohol. Flavour is mid-sweet at first, caramel, stewed fruits, baking apple, oak, vanilla, alcohol, tart fruity quality. Finish is quite dry, apple pie and wood. Bitter, woody, a bit alcoholic. Medium body and very soft carb. A little boozy but dry and good!

16.9 oz bottle I won in a friendly wager by betting against LeBron. This beer is very dark and dense with small red hues and a little off-white head. Aroma is sweet with distinct vinous notes. Plums, brown sugar, rum, licorice and oak are all noted. The body is huge and the 14% abv is adeptly masked. This is a little too sweet for me to totally go nuts over it, but it is a very tasty beer. The notes of wine are distinct and bold, mixing with sweet, dark fruits; licorice; molasses; and oak. It’s crazy how much vinous character is imparted. The yeast adds a nicely subtle fruitiness. This is a big and bold beer, 6 oz. may be enough for me, though I can’t say getting through the whole bottle was an unpleasant experience.

Small tasting sample at 24 uurs Maastricht. Poured a murky Amber light Brown colour with a few murky bubbles on top. With little lacing, first notice of classic alvinne yeast, lactose, grapes, oak, tart notes, vineous wine notes, oak, malts, plums, alcohol notice. But to much for my taste

Poured from a bottle, 12.9 % abv, at Haandbryggeriet Beer Festival 2015. Shared with Finn. Cloudy dark reddish body. Tiny head, spotty lacing. Sweet and dried fruity nose. Likewise, the taste profile is made up by rather sweet, dried fruits, hints of dough beneath. Vinous impression. Balanced by a little fruity tartness to the ending. Still too sweet. Boozy. Okay in smaller amounts (Drammen 30.05.2015).

Cloudy, opaque, medium brown body with a small beige head. Malty, sour and strong aroma, with notes of tart fruits and very little of the usual quad notes. The strong flavour doesn’t remind me of a quad either, except for the quite obvious alcohol. Acidic and tart fruits and an overall funky Alvinne feel over the whole thing. Medium to full body, moderate carbonation. Alright, I guess.

0.5 bottle. Hazy, dark brown color and a small, eggnog-colored head. Aroma is very vinous, sweet and sour, apples, pears, and other fermented fruits. Taste is sweet, malty, some sour notes, wood, mostly fruity rather than vinous, definitely spicy; the robust alcohol content can only be felt as a warming sensation rather than a gruesome flavor. Full body, creamy texture, and almost flat carbonation. Finish is very fruity, again apples and pears, perhaps a tad too sour. Overall a very fine beer; its fruitiness is unusual for the style but the general effect is splendid.
