Appearance: Dark ruby red with hardly a head Aroma: port, dry sherry, dates, prunes and red berries Taste: Follows the Aroma, very Sherry like but so balanced were the sweet fruityness with a few sour trones and with some nice oak tones in the finish. medium body and carbonation is allmost nonexistant. This is very good, allthough not for everyone and so so looking. Quite Port like but quite amazing. How the balanced while keeping a nice complexity.

Bottle purchased for off-sale at the Birch. Pours hazy ruby chestnut, medium fizzy brown head, dissipates fairly quickly, decent lacing. Aroma is malty, toffee, raisin, caramel, date, vinous, oaky. Flavor is full sweet, light bitter, malty and rich, cocoa, dark sugars, red wine. Full body, creamy. Solid.

Bottle from Vika enjoyed at home
Pours dark dark brown, tanned head that falls down to a nice thin layer. Nice laces on glass as well. Smells of caramel, oak, some wine aromas, yeast esters and malts. I find alot of barrel aging in the aroma. Very malty, heavy sweet, raisins and alcohol strikes, then some oak and wine. Nice medium bitter finish, some resins, oak and hops. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Totally a nice beer, i find it to suit the barrel aging quite nice.

Bottle thanks to Taylor at MFF. Aroma was prunes, port, chocolate and oak. Poured deep purple brown with little carbonation or head. Taste was ruby port, prunes, molasses and vinegary oak. Very dark for all the vinegar notes. This is a dependable kind of beer to come from Alvinne. Gotta be in the mood.
