Brown coloured beer with small white head and no carbonation. Fruity alcoholic malty oak wine hinted aroma. Full palate. Finish is fruity dry alcoholic malty bitter. Minor, bit too much taste of alcohol.

Found back tasting notes from Borets Festival 2012. Only putting them in now. APPEARANCE: dark brown beer, unstable head. Very flat. NOSE: lots of sweetness, some wood. TASTE: little too flat, quite sweet, alcohol is noticeable, drinks away like a nice sweet wine!

Tons of dark fruits, quite vinous, tannic, oak adds some subtley. A nice one in this series.

Bottle shared at Craft Clerko, from thanks to Paulo - he had 5 guys the other night apparently ! 25/10/13. Lightly hazed chestnut brown with a thin light beige covering. Nose is dark fruits, toffee, oaky wood, tarte fruit notes, red wine, jammy soured berry mash. Taste comprises brown sugars, jammy fruit, booze soaked oak, red wine streak, dark tofffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light warming alcohol in the finish. Decent enough Quad, could not believe this was a 14% big boy - very well integrated.

Color caoba oscuro, reflejos rojizos muy tupido. Espuma color crema. Aromas de frutas confitadas, licor, naranja. En boca es de sabor potente y densos con trazos dulces y afrutados que se completa con t¡rasgos ácidos. Muy rica, pero no parece una belga, casi me recuerda más a una barley wine.

Bottled. Pours hazy amber with an average off-white head. Aroma with notes of dark dried fruits, red grapes, molasses, wood, and caramel. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry with bitter notes and some alcohol Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carb. A very nice Barley.

Pours deep ruby with a thin head. By far the closest thing to port I’ve ever had in a beer. Interesting and tasty, though certainly not a traditional quad.

Smallish beige head. Hazy deep brownish red body. Fruity vinous sugary aroma with wooden notes. Dry-sweet wooden fruity taste with funky caramelly notes. Fullish body. Hot, rounded, smooth mouthfeel. Dry-sweet roasty wild berry and fruit aftertaste with peppery vinous wooden funky notes. Traces of wine grapes, earth, spice and menthol. Complex, interesting, and unusual. Subtle, and full of flavours. Wish they’d sold it in 0.25l bottles though. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoply, Vika, Oslo.)

Draught @ Borefts 12. Hazy orange color, small to medium sized off-white head. Smell malts, fairly sweet and slightly wood-ish. Taste malts, sweetish and winey. Nicely balanced. Medium to full body and relatively soft carbonation.
