Le nez est agréable de fruits secs, de sucre brun, de cassonade et une touche d’alcool (14% ça parait). La bouche est fort agréable avec des fruits secs, de la tire d’érable, caramel, toffee, cassonade, de la vanille du fût de chêne qui est très bien intégré, pas agressif mais présent. La texture est belle avec une finale quasi huileuse. 7+

Bottle, shared may 11th 2013. Cloudy dark brown body, tiny light brown head, low carbonation. Aroma of sweet malt, dried dark fruit, oak and clove. Taste of caramel, red wine, chocolate, lightly sour. Sweet aftertaste of jam and alcohol.

Pours slightly hazy brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits, oak, alcohol, and brown sugar. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long sweet, oak and fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear deep reddish brown colour with a small coffee-beige head. Powerful and nice aroma dried fruits, sweet malt, caramel, alcohol and wood. Complex. The flavour starts as the aroma and even more like a proper dark and sweet Belgian ale. Suddenly the flavour ends with a lot of lingering wine berries. Has a rich and silky mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A fantasticly complex and balanced ale. Just wow!

APPEARANCE: dark brown beer, unstable head. Very flat.
NOSE: lots of sweetness, some wood.
TASTE: little too flat, quite sweet, alcohol is noticeable, drinks away like a nice sweet wine!

Bottle 50cl, an amber dark beer with huge copper head and good retention, exceptional for 14° ! Nose is amazing on sweet caramel and complex wood notes. Extreamly nice and creamy caramel like beer with vanilla and wood notes, lot of prune and figs, dark malt, toffee. Delicious red fruit notes, rich, smooth and complex, a dream.

Brown coloured beer with small white head and no carbonation. Fruity alcoholic malty oak wine hinted aroma. Full palate. Finish is fruity dry alcoholic malty bitter. Minor, bit too much taste of alcohol.

0,5 l bottle from Vika Vinmonopolet shared at a local tasting. Hazy mahogany body with a small light brown head. Dried fruits and malts invitingly present on the nose. Sweet, fruity, liquorice and salty flavors. Full bodied and smooth. A real treat.
