3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle... Hazy burnt-orange pour with no head. The aroma is a melange of white oak, caramel and black cherries. Full-bodied with nearly no carbonation. The flavor is a moderately sweet, lightly tart blend of fruitcake and caramel. Finishes sweet and tart, and then lightly bitter. Bottle shared by Rick at the Vero Beach ABC (Miracle Mile)!

Bottled. Pours hazy amber with an average, lacing, off-white head. Aroma of overripe fruit, white wine, wood, and caramel. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry with bitter notes and alcohol Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carb. A very nice Barley.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy caramel leather color with a trace of gaseous bubbles forming a thin layer of foam. Layers of date fruit, fig, raisin, boozy grape and earthy wet wood, leather and moss. Booze is pretty in check considering its abv, though the flavors do get a bit muddled in the midpalate but the start and finish make up the difference. Low carbonation but feel its appropriate to the beer.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle at The Stumbling Monk, Seattle. Any time I see something from Alvinne, I go for it. Deeper amber pour, no head. Powerful nose hinting at sugars, dried wine grapes, deeeeep oak, figs, and a slight note of booze. Flavors consist of dark fruits, barrel, a solid muscat grape flavor from the Montbazillac’s (seems fairly specific amongst other wines I’ve tried), caramel, and booze, but surprisingly approachable for 15%!. Lingers until you sip it again. Absolutely fantastic and loud, just the way I like it. Dank!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 33cl. An unclear, amber colored beer topped by a small, dense, off-white head leaving some lacings. Alcohol, caramel, dark dried fruits, some notes of cooked vegetables and vanilla in the aroma. It’s sweet, warming and soft on the palate, with caramel and dried fruits dominating the flavor. Some woody vanilla hints chime in. A little bitterness in the finish, which is rather warming. A tasteful and moreish beer, too warming, but in a nice way. 131004
