Tap@Birch. Pours murky mahogany, almost no head, little lacing. Aroma is an interesting mix of molasses, dark fruits, alcohol, chocolate, vinous, a but of tart funkiness. Flavor is light tart, medium sweet, tart lemony finish, dark fruits, dark sugars, chocolate, little astringence, but some oakiness. Full body, silky, but flat.

Tap at Local Option, Chicago. Poured a deep mahogany with a round collar. The aroma is yeasty citrus sour. The flavour is medium sour with a big tart citrus raisin yeast acid palate. Wow this is an amazing beer that really grew on me over time.
