Better then I thought. Nicely tart and lively with nice carbonation. Notes of cherries and light background sweetness. Crisp bite on the finish.

Little chub bottle, tart oaky vanilla aroma. Your standard our bruin ale, a sweet tartness. Not bad

Pours burgundy with a reddish tan head. Aroma is oak, berries and sour. Flavor is a lot of oak, sour berries and a hint of sherry. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. Has a nice tart and dry finish. Not the best sour i’ve had.

Bottle. It pours very dark brown and almost still with a slow forming thin ring of brown foam. The aroma is nice with sour berries, oak, mild leather and hints of molasses. The flavor is very vinous and complex with red berries, oak, leather and a touch of balsamic. Very nice lemony notes toward the finish with some more oak. Definitely tart, but not sour. It has a full body but is sadly almost flat.

Bottle: Poured a deep cloudy burgundy color ale with a medium size foamy head with average retention and some light lacing. Aroma consists of sour and tart notes mix in with light sweet notes and some sherry. Taste is also a nice mix between some tart notes which are well balanced with some notes of sherry and port with a subtle vinous character. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very nice and not too one-dimensional on the sour side of things.

Pours a slightlymurky maroon with quite a few clear bubbles. Light head exudes a full and funky aroma. Flavor is dusty, acidic, sour, tart with a touch of cherry. I loved this beer and will search it out on all trips to Belgium.

bottle at home ... deep brown ... thin lacing ... sour woody toffee cherry nose ... soft roast ... light balsamic ... light tart sourness ... soft wine tones ... ok but not really me.

In bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with a thin light tan head. Lovlely sour nose with barley, hay, horse-blanket, balsamic vinegar and chocolate. Balsamic vinegar flavour upfront with coffee, chocolate, barley and hay. Quite highly carbonated with a fair CO2 prickle. Great!
