Bottle as a very generous extra! Pour has a dark cola color and a ring of off white head on the glass. Aroma has wine barrels, dark malted sourness, pops of dark fruit, and dried pit fruit sweetness. Mouht feel is average and the carbonation quite low. Flavor has medium acidity, sour dark fruit, wine barrels, and some seedy berry.

This poured a black color with almost no head. The aroma contains some oak, cherries, and grapes. The flavor is rather dry and sour with some earthy notes and a bit of red wine. The finish is a bit sour also. Overall a nice beer.

11.2 oz bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks okay; not much carbonation though. A fairly opaque brownish-black with razor-thin off-white lacing (or maybe light beige; it’s so thin that it’s tough to tell). Smells of earthy red wine and oak with a bit of a Flanders-esque backbone. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Adequate carbonation would do this beer a world of good.

Bottle. Dark red brown pour with a nice head. Brown sugar, cherry, red desert wine, oak. Fruity, sweet and fruity. Enjoyable

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2015 Pours an opaque Coca-Cola brown with a fairly thick litany head. Sour fruit dominates the aroma. Flavor is sour enough to make you exercise muscles in your face you didn’t know you had! Taste is mainly fruity with some malt. Texture is firm and smooth, if not too fizzy. Pucker up, bottoms up!

Bottle shared at Craft Ale House. Pours turbid ruby chestnutty. Nose is tart cherry and grapes, oaky lactic, earthy merlot. Tastes very tart, fruity, and oaky. As it warmed, more fruit emerged, and the tartness and lactic acid flavors remained prominent. This one was great.

Bottle: Brown with some deep red tints. Wonderful aroma of leather, brown sugar, red wine, woody, and prune juice. Extremely acidic flavor. At first, you turn your head because of the tartness. Once you get past this, I noticed sour apples, dry wood, wine, and vinegar. I love Flemish Sour ales so I enjoyed this, but not the best out there.

Bottle. 7/9/13. Pours a deep and opaque reddish brown with no head but a few bubbles. Aroma is fantastic; red fruits, berries, vanilla, wood, alcohol, brandy. Taste is aggressive, tart, stringent, highly acidic; dry fruits, raspberries, alcohol, leather, wood; with a long lingering fruit peel bitterness. Fantastic. Mouth feel is wet, slick. Carbonation is low. No lacing. Highly flavorful; nicely barreled. Alcohol is rather evident; I don’t mind.
