In bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with a thin light tan head. Lovlely sour nose with barley, hay, horse-blanket, balsamic vinegar and chocolate. Balsamic vinegar flavour upfront with coffee, chocolate, barley and hay. Quite highly carbonated with a fair CO2 prickle. Great!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle. This pours dark brown and it is opaque. Almost no head. The aroma is sour, fruity, finky, and musty. The flavor mimics that but with grapes, tannin, and vinegar. This is interesting and fairly complex but not a great sour.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted on 9/1/11 from a 750mL bottle purchased at Lush Roscoe. Gusher bottle pours a murky and muddy brown with a very thick tan head that slowly recedes to rocky lace. The nose is sour red wine vinegar with some barnyard horse blanket, balsamic vinegar and raisin along with some caramelized bread malt. The flavor features the sweeter balsamic, raisin, and caramelized bread up front, moving to the funky horse blanket, and finishes with the sour and acidic notes. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a long sour, balsamic vinegar, and tannic finish.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Rating from notes. Dark brown pour with almost no head. Aroma of forest fire and skin lotion...hmmm... Light sour taste, roasted malt, sour berries.
Medium to high carbonation. I can not really get past the very odd aroma in this beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.33l bottle from EtreGourmet webshop. Freddy is a dark dark brown/amber beer with a quickly fading and sidesticking just off-white head. Aroma is woody and sour. Notes of tomatoes, licorice and some sour grapes. Lively carbonation, medium-bodied and it has a light fluffy mouthfeel. Flavors are mild woody, malts, sour and quite vinous with notes of some red currants and gooseberries. Long lasting sour aftertaste with just a little hint of alcohol. Yeah, not bad.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Scooped this one up last fall at Hop City in Atlanta (great place, by the way). Nearly opaque dark brown pour, with hints of burgundy and a prickly foamy head to the brew. Really nice nose, tons of wet oak and mature grape, with slight acetic qualities, fruitbread, very faint sweetness in there for contrast. Mouthfeel is dry but not too acetic, and lively in places from the carbonation. Dank and woody throughout, with a superbly mellowed quality that I really appreciated (those who like their sours more aggressive might disagree but I dug it much). In places perhaps a bit too oxidized but I was feeling the woody funk.
