Pours a dark purple brown. 3 finger brown head. Nose is cherries, lacto and acetone with raisins. Yeah. very nice. Lots of red grape tannins and skins. Sort of a juicy aspect sour is secondary and a really nice finish. I like this one a lot but it has a syrupy fake ness to it which is a turn off

Bottle, shared by OleR. Red wine barrel character, lots of red wine in fact. Some sourness, but not too much. Very fruity, easy drinking. Spicy.

Bottle from Vika enjoyed at home
Dark brown, no head, just some bubbles. Smells of roasted malts, alot of red wine and oak. Moderate sweet, moderate sour, red wine, oak, more oak and caramel. Light bitter finish. A very nice beer; love the oak and wine tones and the down toned acids

Awesome beer. The aroma is tart cherries, grapees, sour. The flavor is precisely the same, with a little more vinegar sting. The appearance was dark, light tan head. The finish is tart cherry, sour. Medium in body. Excellent represtation of style, reminiscent of Rodenbach.

50cl bottle. It poures a deep hazy brown colour with a tanned head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is full of tart cherries and vinegar with sweet red wine. Flavor is similar with tart cherries really coming out with a slight dark bread note and a dry red wine finish. Very tasty.

Thin coarse brown head. Nearly opaque body goes hazy deep dark red at edges. Earthy chocolatey nougat aroma with nutty spicy notes. Dry-acidic roasty earthy taste with rhubarb notes. Thinnish body. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry-acidic vinuous rhubarb aftertaste with fruity notes. Didn’t really very much enjoy. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

Bottle. Opaque dark brown to near black with a tall, foamy brown head. Aroma is grape skins, balsamic vinegar, wet oak, funky yeast and damp earth. Taste is more balsamic vinegar, wet oak, wine notes, grape skins, dark fruit, sour berries, damp earth, funky yeast and straw. Body is medium with a strong effervescent carbonation and a light acidic feel. Finishes dry with more balsamic vinegar, sour fruit, wet oak, wine notes, grapes, funky yeast and dark fruit.

on tap at st sour in louisville. this started out smelling like a freshly opened bottle of wine and as it warmed up the stout aromas of chocolate and toffee. this poured a dark brown almost black. the tastes of wine, oak, chocolate and some semi sweet sour all wash through the sip. thve feel is just light enough to make you forget that this is 1/3 stout. overall this is a good beer, very different than almost any other beer you may have and if you enjoy sours then this is a must just for the tick and experience.
