3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Complex aroma with sour white grape, sour banana, some floral hops, and sweet pineapple. Cloudy dark yellow under a rocky, white cover. Potent hops bitterness at first taste mellows out to an assertive, but not astringent, transcendant characteristic, masking lemony sweet malt and herbal hops. Significant ethanol flavour as well. Light to medium body, high carbonation, lasting bitterness that is too much for me.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From a bottle purchased at Ramsey Liquors in NJ, well over a year ago but kept in my fridge. Pours golden with a lot of floating particles with a huge frothy white head, very foamy. Aroma and flavor of pear, white grapes/wine, lemon, herbal hops and hay. Has a tinge of malty sweetness with the hops playing a balancing role, not IPA-bitter. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

Bottled 330ml. -from bierkompass.de; Birthday gift from my girlfriend.
What a gusher! Hazy yellow/golden coloured, huge white head, fruity nose. Moderate malty, hoppy and citrusy with pleasant spicy notes. Notes of grapefruit in rather bitter hoppy finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours to a murky dark straw colored body with a tall and fully coating/lasting starch white head and some heavy spotty lacing. The aroma is huge. Sweet and fruity. Peaches, candi sugar, apricots, fruit loops. The flavor is sugary sweet up front but doesn’t have that lingering sweetness on the finish. Dry on the finish. Finishes extremely clean. Some peaches, fruit loops, and light grapefruit. Perhaps white grapes? There’s something in here that I cannot pinpoint and cannot explain. The palate is sweet, then dry. Medium-light bodied.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ Alvinne proefzolder.
Pours dark yellowish rather clear. Thick eggwhite head. Pearling carbonation, soft carbonation. Very simple clean bittered blond ale. Little hop in the nose, nothing complex. Very drinkable. More blond ales should be like this one.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Cellared a bit too long.
Pale orange, slightly hazy, with a medium-sized head.
The aroma is a bit quirky with strangely noticeable notes of ripe apples. Notes of fresh grass, malts and floral hops as well.
The flavor os medium sweet and is also coupled with notes of apples. The beer still has a fairly crisp malty backbone and decent hop aromas. Notes of yeast. The finish is quite bitter and there’s not a whole lot countering it. Ands with a faint chemical note and hints of vegetal hops.
Moderate body and smooth carbonation.
Not a bad beer, but those apple notes where quite strange. Probably not supposed to be cellared this long.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
11.2 oz. bottle. Yeasty, dry aroma features bubblegum and apricot scents. Pleasant but weak smell. Pours a dirty, cloudy, milky, pale gold with a large amount of off-white, uneven head. Wisps of yeast can be seen. Dry taste features apple and a hint of peach. Alcohol noticeable but not overpowering. Nice, dry finish with a stripe of fruit sweetness. Easy to drink. Medium body. Relatively lively. Alvinne Extra Restyled is more pleasant than good (but certainly inoffensive) and more a dry golden Belgian than the IPA that is claimed on the label. Minus 1 point for overcarbonation that caused overflow. The beer is better than my score indicates, but it’s hard to determine where to give additional points.
