bottle @ Alvinne, thanks Glenn.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Roast, licorice and citrus in the aroma. Thin, lemony yeasty tart flavor. Hints of ash. Surprisingly refreshing.

Bottle, bought @ Alvinne Beershop.
Deep chestnut, bordering on black with a very lovely, creamy, beige head. Aroma is malty, liqourice, chocolate, a bit of cold coffee. Lowish carbonation, fairly nice creamy palate. Flavour is mild milky, some lactic notes, woody, roasted malts, dry and nutty bitterness. Some chocolate and good malty and dry coffee finish. Not excactly excited with the lactic tartness. Beside that, this would be a very nice brown ale.

ACBF. Hazy dark brown beer, no head. Light palate, no carbonation. Mild dark malt with traces of dark chocolate and coffee. Some minerals in the finish. A fresh but slightly dull beer.

Refrescante trago.Enjoyed on 05/04/11. Pours very dark amber color into my Tulip glass. Crown looks like milk & cofffe in color. Foamy thick layer, close & dense, fairly well lasting. Brief lacing ring. Fresh grass aroma, spices, pine & resin too. Toasted malt, grassy hop & complex herbal flavor with subtle coffee notes. Dark berries & coffee hints round a sour aftertaste. Surprising body for a low ABV beer. Average carbonation. Refreshing drinkability.

Bottle at First German Ratebeer gathering at Idar Oberstein courtesy of Travlr. Coffee malt and grass hops aroma. Dark brown color with small head. Sweet prune and brown sugar malt. Nice body. Interesting take on the style.

Bottle at the first German local RateBeer tasting at Wasaba in Idar-Oberstein. Opaque brown, brown head. I can’t read my notes (it was tasted late in the day!) but the taste had soft sourness (lacto?) and dilute coffee. Not bad.
