3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 yngwie (9175) - Kristiansand, - FEB 5, 2012
Bottle. It pours a very dark brown body under a small, dense, beige head. The aroma has some strange radish or asparagus hints, but is mostly on the dark side, with roasted malts, chocolate, and a touch of vinegar and licorice. The flavor is sourish, with roasted malts, some chocolate, vinegar and licorice. Roasted and lightly sour finish. Medium body fullness. Well, a nice beer, but with some aromas and flavors not so nice. Don’t think I could drink much of it. 110610

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 rand (820) - SWITZERLAND - FEB 18, 2012
Bottle 33 cl from Willems - Grobbendonk (B). Beer practically black, tan head. Roasted aromas, chocolate, spices, tobacco, leather and old barrel. Fruity taste, a bit sour, roasted malt, grassy and earthy hops. There are notes of cold coffee, black berries, sourish and lactic. A lot of taste without the bludgeon of alcohol.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 3, 2012
(Bottled) Very dark brown with a very small, beige head. Aroma of licorice, and distinctively chocolatey malt. Flavor is sour-malty and lightly roasty, with stale coffee and way less chocolate than the aroma suggests. Light to medium body with low CO2. Has a vinous character, and not too watery body - but unfortunately doesn’t work that well as a whole. This is the opposite of Freaky in terms of the CO2 level. 4254

At ACBF 2011. Very very dark brown colour. Not as good as the regular freaky I thought. Some roast flavours. Odd. A little light in the body for a dark beer I thought maybe.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 BartC (528) - Lichtaart, BELGIUM - DEC 12, 2011
Dark (black) colored beer with a creamy brown head. Low on carbonation which was till now a rare property of Alvinne beers. Dominating raisins and other dark fruits in the aroma. Notes of caramel, wood and other fruit like banana. Nice sourness in the taste. Very surprising and refreshing. Finally a low alcohol beer with a massive taste! Excellent.
