Dark (black) colored beer with a creamy brown head. Low on carbonation which was till now a rare property of Alvinne beers. Dominating raisins and other dark fruits in the aroma. Notes of caramel, wood and other fruit like banana. Nice sourness in the taste. Very surprising and refreshing. Finally a low alcohol beer with a massive taste! Excellent.

Bottle at ACBF 2011. Black coloured with a small beige head. Fruity and light roasted aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Fruity and light roasted flavour of coffee and dark chocolate. Dry roasted finish. Quite good for a 3.8 ABV beer.

Taste this end may 2011 @ brewery. From Bottle. Dark brown color, with a creamy, beige head. Aroma coffeu touch, bit roasted malts, liqourice notes. Medium body. Taste woody, roasted malts, bitterness. Dry ending. Nice one, for a low alcohol beer.

Bottled@Craft Beer Co, London. Quite much black colour with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, some vegetables and mild yeastyness as well. Flavour is liquorice, fruits, wood, some mild toasted notes as well as some toffee. Quite sour finish.

33 cl. bottle @ home. BBF 09/2014. Procured from Willems. Put it in the fridge before opening, virtually no gushing,… success. Very dark brown, beige head is big bubbles, quickly vanishing to nothing. Light kiwi in the nose, light powdery chocolate, flowers, nicely hoppy, lovely bitterness, light berry, sweet malts, cacao, some chocolate,… Taste is bitter kiwi, white grapes, lightly floral, lightly ashy chocolate, cheap cacao powder, light spices and kiwi, hoppy bitter finish, small hints of sourness,… Very effervescent,… Nice dark version of the regular one. Could use less carb. Although might be quite watery then, not sure,…. This is not quite there and big jumbled but enjoyable never the less with positive sides.

Bottle at First German Ratebeer gathering at Idar Oberstein courtesy of Travlr. Coffee malt and grass hops aroma. Dark brown color with small head. Sweet prune and brown sugar malt. Nice body. Interesting take on the style.

bottle @ Alvinne, thanks Glenn.

Very black with small beige head. Funky aroma, malty bit of ovaltine and doughy. Pricly taste, slight bitterness bit herbal. Medium bodied with a bitter finish and a sherberty fizz. Really interesting taste and surprisingly flavoursome for such a low alcohol beer. Nice!

Refrescante trago.Enjoyed on 05/04/11. Pours very dark amber color into my Tulip glass. Crown looks like milk & cofffe in color. Foamy thick layer, close & dense, fairly well lasting. Brief lacing ring. Fresh grass aroma, spices, pine & resin too. Toasted malt, grassy hop & complex herbal flavor with subtle coffee notes. Dark berries & coffee hints round a sour aftertaste. Surprising body for a low ABV beer. Average carbonation. Refreshing drinkability.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Roast, licorice and citrus in the aroma. Thin, lemony yeasty tart flavor. Hints of ash. Surprisingly refreshing.
