Interesting brew. Poured very lively with a huge foamy frothy sudsy textured off white to cream colored head that lasts and lasts (like forever) plus lots of lace. Color is an almost clear amber. Aroma was surprising given the amber glass of the bottle and being skunky (which, thankfully, was fleeting). Also yeast malt spice and bread dough. Flavor is like aroma and not expansive as is usually the case. Finish is like flavor and a bit sweet, but not too. Decent brew overall.

From beersofeurope: Phenomenally strong tasting deep golden ale, with a strong alcoholic taste, which really catches the back of the throat in the same way brandy or whisky does. A fair amount of floating yeast, depsite a good 3 week standing time. Huge, thick white foaming head, massive carbonation, subtle cloves and citrus. A huge beer.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a large white head that dissipated. Aroma has notes of grassy hops, yeast and caramel. Flavor is similar with the hops dominating towards the end with even a bit of pine.

(bottle) pours a lightly hazy golden-orange colour with a few floaties and a dense frothy off-white head. aroma of dominant citric hops, yeast, bread and a touch of raisins. flavour is the same, though less nuanced and with a touch of alcohol, the citric hop notes are less prominant. medium-bodied with smooth carbonation and a medium bitter alcoholic finish.

Draught at the Bavarian Lodge in Lisle, IL. Pours a hazy rich golden with a persistent soapy off-white head. Leaves veins of soapy lacing. Aroma is a bit soapy and citrusy and followed up by a potently bitter pine and orange peel bitterness that is preceded by a touch of floral sweetness. Very dry and bitter. Medium bodied.

from crackedkettle.com - cloudy orange colour with tons of particles floating within, giant pale beige foam and a nice lacework; aroma of almonds and apples, slightly dusty and spicy; juicy palate, full-bodied and with a fair bitterness; the finish is herbal, bitter and fruity, lasting very long - a beautiful gift

Pours a clear amber color with some good size yeast floating around, with a nice thick white head. Aroma is very hoppy, citrus fruits, grapfruits, bananas, yeast and spices. Flavors malts, hops, citrus fruits, oranges and mostly grapefruits, liquor, yeasts and spices. Good carbonation, mostly bitter, with over powered hop finish.
