Bottled. Hazy amber with yeast particles. Rubber and solvent. I guess it was too spicy for me...

Clear amber colored pour. Big white head. Plenty of lacing after the head finally drops. A peppery, hoppy aroma. A slight aroma of infected homebrew. Tastes like infected homebrew. That’s about it. There is a slight slicky sweetness, but it is overwhelmed by the ick. Not very good, and indicative of most offerings from them. Only real positive is that this one didn’t gush out like an Alvinne volcano.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, orange-gold body with a small white head. Smell: Good gracious, me. A rather odd aroma comprised of notes smelling of wax lips, decaying fruit seasoned with pepper, and hair mousse. Taste: Vaguely honeyish maltiness. Two big spoonfuls of medicine followed by a sharp, spicy bitterness. Dash of pepper. A bit solventy on the finish. Okay, maybe more than a bit. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Drinkability: No. Actually I found this to be rather off-putting.

Bottle from Sergio's. Not sure how old. This beer was a damn volcano. I kept it at 50 and let it sit out but it erupted. Crazy fluffy white head. Belgium yeast over any hop aroma. Bitter and belgium. For high IBUs it's masked by alcohol and yeast. Skip it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a clear light orange with no head. Sickly sweet aroma with notes of coconut and pineapple (pina colata). Tastes like apple juice with a weird aftertaste. A very strange beer. Not very good.

Cloudy amber-golden colored with a huge white foam head. Bizarre medicinal aroma of ointment and yeasty bandages. Flavor is all over the place with hop bitterness dominating, and a lot of that medicinal ointment taste again. Not well-balanced at all. A nice mouthfeel and a warming alcohol feeling are its high points. Half of this is getting poured out.... I don’t like Neosporin in my beer.

Another big miss from Alvinne. "One of the hoppiest beers in Belgium"- yeah, like getting 115 IBUs all from noble hops is a good idea to start with. Again, QC issues- significant overcarbonation. Too much head off a gentle pour. Smells of apricots, candy sugar, and bready grain. Flavor is NOT hugely hoppy- some tart spicy hops, some bitterness, and mellow malty sweetness. Muddled mess of different flavors. For a brew advertised as hoppy- Alvinne should look into something like Houblon Chouffe, Hop-It, etc. A decent Belgian Pale... not at all successful as advertised.

On tap-Golden amber/orange color w/a moderate head & good lacing. Floral hop aroma, strong hop flavor, no real trace of sweetness or malt, just way too hoppy & out of balance for a Belgian, or for me. Had some spice & some yeast, but mostly hops, tasted more like an APA or IPA to me, & not a very good one.

Bottle. Very floral, extremely spicy aroma, touch of coriander and candi sugar in with angular, dry and gritty yeast. Hazy, opaque orange pour with a very excited, foamy beige head. Taste is bitter, very carbonated, yeasty, and way, way, way, over-spiced. Very dry with exotic fruit coming in via the hops, but again, the yeast / spice combination is way over the top and makes this nearly undrinkable. Hard, rocky mineral water, with plastic and some alcohol. Some clear Tripel character. Medium-full body. Nasty syrupy aftertaste, touch of grain in there, too. A big, overblown mess (and I thought only American brewers made those!).
