(750ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) cloudy red with tan bubbles. Nose of sour cherries, tart, funky, wet wood. Taste of wet wood, cherry, cranberry, tangerine, soft carbonation and easy to drink. Nice sour!

At ACBF 2011. Red colour clear no head no real carbonation. Some wood over the cherries on the aroma. You know it has more structure than regular Kerasus but I love the sheer vibrancy of the fruit on the original. Tasty though

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of brettanomyces, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons and brettanomyces, leading to a tart finish.

Draft on tap at Bavarian Lodge (Lisle, IL). Part of their Belgian Fest/Night. Pours a brownish hue, lighter copper edges with a firm haze, but still a healthy glow to it. Frothy tan head with a touch of red or auburn to it in the light, decent sized moves to an ok film, laces ok. Aromas are some decent sour cherries and vinegar, touches of red wine, lactic acid, a touch of earth and metal. Wet oak, with a touch of maltiness pushing through, a bit beat up, some toast, bread, and light caramel. Initial is moving towards lighter bodied, a sustained sour cherry and vinegar feel, cherry skins, sour and a touch of metal. Wet oak, more vinegar and sour cherries, red wine kinda lingers on and dries out. A touch of sweetness from the cherry, bread, and biscuits in the middle of the beer as the sour cherry, vinegar, touch of metal, good feel of lactic acid follow through and linger on the palate into and past the finish. Touch of nuttiness, darker fruits, biscuits, toast. Some vanilla and red winey tannins from the oak linger on. Nice sour, well balanced and a firm sourness and barrel presence without getting overbearing or acetic. That seems the MO with the Alvinne sours.. They’ve all been well done, firm yet balanced, nothing way over the edge or overbearing. Pretty damn drinkable with a solid flavor, firm sourness.

Beautiful red-dark amber color; medium sized compact head. Aroma of cherry stones, then soap, light vinegar, caramel and cream; very interesting. The body is very thin, the mouthfeel dry and acidic; there is some light, dry caramel flavor, with light cherry flavor, some vinous character, fruits (grapes and plums). The final is a bit astringent and sour, dry, with light tones of roasted nuts.

Bottle shared at the 1st Israeli Sour Tasting. Hazy reddish brown with a bit of white foam. Aroma of oak, some brett, some fruits and a bit of slightly caramelly malt notes. Sourish flavor of oak, lactic acid and light sweetness. Medium-bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Bottle at CPK thanks to Thomas. Pours a slightly cloudy, bloody-ruby with no head. Aroma is all cherries and wood, slightly dank and funky. Light to medium sweet flavor, mild cherries and fruit, moderate sourness, some wood, a little stinging funkiness. Light to medium in body with soft carbonation. Finish is lightly dry with a wonderful, restrained sour character, nice wood, aged cherries. Very solid beer.
