3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a dark red with a light pink head. Aroma was light but wonderfully pleasant, with notes of cherry, wood, and a sugary sweetness, perhaps marzipan. Flavor had added a subtle funkiness to the cherry component, with more vanilla and wood. Palate was light and crisp-- a really refreshing kriek. Not earth-shattering, but yummy.

75cl bottle. It pours bright red -ruby with just a ring og pinkish bubbles. Aroma is fruity with loads of tart cherries. Nice sourness with wood notes. The taste of cherries with vanilla, wood and sour. The aftertaste is sour with a little bitter and dry sweet. Very nice beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught at Pre-ZBF 2010. Murky reddish with laced head. Great aroma of ripe fruits, vanilla, oak and spicy coconut mix. It’s quite unique. The aroma shows through in flavour as well. The balance is superb but my only flaw is that it tends to finish on a strangely sweet and sour note. Perhaps it’s a little ’ripe’ at the moment. A nice interesting brew.

Draft at Farmers Cabinet. Hazy cherry color with a thin bubbly head. Unfiltered cherry flavor. Very sour, but nicely so. Rich cherry pulp. Slight flemish funk but mostly a clean sour. Had from the same barrel twice and has gotten more complex and sour with age.
