Bottle at alvinne. Alround rating: Nose is cherry, tart with some sour funky notes too, hints at wood, but may just be cherry stones. The body is lacking somewhat and makes it noteably thin. But at the same time you could sink a bottle iof this and not even think about it.

Bottled. Hazy reddish color, short off-white head. Aroma of cherry, marzipan. Bit watery taste, fruity cherry, bit sour. Not really sweet. Bit thin.

Bottled. Aroma has marzipan, cherries. Hazy, dark red-purple coloured with a thin, pinkish head. The taste is sour, tart, has marzipan and fruitiness. Dry finish, bit watery. Okay.

Bottle at PreZBF at Alvinne. Cloudy dark red coloured with a small pink head. Fruity aroma of caramel, cherries, cherry stones and marzipan. Light acidic flavour of cherries and cherry stones with notes of marzipan. Tart finish.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark red with a small pink head. Dry almond cherry dense aroma. Dry cherry and no sweetness with a distinct almondish note. Dry cherry flavoured finish. Simple and presumeably a great thirstquencer on a warm Summer day. The Struise Keralensis blend certainly gives this a lot more body.

Tap at Ginger Man: Headless ruby pour- no effervescence. Mild aroma- a bit worty along with some odd chemical notes of paint thinner, acetone, medicinal notes- band aid, and stale pedicoccus tartness. Very little carbonation- no liveliness. Vacant flavor it’s watered down to begin with, and what is there is quite off. Nondescript tartness is present- no depth or complexity. A touch of diluted cherry and band aid. Watery, medicinal and dull.

On tap at Max’s Belgian Fest: Pours a transparent amber ruby with a thin, off-white head. Aroma of lightly sweet strawberries and pale malt. Starts fairly full, but flat and semi-sweet with mild fruit character and not much tartness. Finishes with some black cherries and light dryness. A decent attempt that just falls short.

Bottle from den Bierzolder. Dark ruby red with a fast disappearing pink head. Sour cherry aroma with hints of marcipane. Flavours are mildly sour hinting of dry wood towards the finish.Exciting experiment.

Bottle pours cherry red with no head. This has an amazing aroma. Super tart with a dizzying acidity that makes me cringe. Is a bit thin for the body. The flavor was really disappointing. The cherry flavors came out, but the sour component was subdued and not really there. Just a big let down.

Tap at Max’s. Im glad I got a glass of this and didnt finish it, then the keg kicked. I saved someone else from drinking it. I hated this beer- one of the worst of the fest for sure. Pours a bright reddish violet, with no head- slight carbonation. Aroma is a bit pool water- chlorine, old mildew and ligth tart cherry and other off fruits. Flavor is completely watered down and thin- old stale pol water, mildew, slight pedio funk, plastic phenolics, and a slick light watered down finish. Not even close to being a good sour anything.
