3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, vintage 2009. A lot of yeast in the bottle.
Nice dark red color, small head. Quite sour aroma of cherries and soil.
Sour taste of cherries, wood, soil, semi sweet. A lot of carbonation. Drinkable but not that exciting, a bit watery mouth feel. The aftertaste was rather long and dry.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Burgundy pour with a bit of a chestnut hue, topped with a medium sized pink head that rapidly fades away completely. Very enticing aroma with black and sour cherry; nicely complimented by wood and earth. Flavor begins with fairly intense sour cherry, which gives way to vinous red wine notes. Background notes of wood, strawberry, cranberry, acetic acid, and earth. Carbonation is a bit too active. Overall, a tasty and very easy to drink sour ale.

Wow, really impressed with this one. VIntage 2009 acquired from Alvinne’s e-shop. 33cl bottle. Poured into Westmalle glass, thought the cherries’ etching would compliment this beer!
Minimal head which disappears leaving a wild cherry image. Opaque and murky. Aroma of intense cherries and tart, stunningly blended. Really intoxicating with a slight tart edge. Lovely. Can taste cherries, tart, a small amount of acid, wild berries, some candy sugar and sharp fizzy finish. The flavour of the cherries is fantastic, really full bodied, some warming alcohol and a long finish. The malts are quite sweet but I’m really enjoying this. Would like to have this oak aged in the barrel from a dispenser. Really excellent.
