330ml bottle shared by blankboy with me and garthicus. Hazy deep ruby, smallish frothy white head. Aroma of cherry, lemon, yeast ... simple, sour, nice. Taste - more cherry, less sour, not too sweet, a bit light, not much alcohol. Watery, lightly acidic and carbonated, fairly quick finish - smells pretty sour, disappoints a wee bit in the tasting.

(Rating #3779)

Bottle, 2009 Vintage. Exploded everywhere on opening, lively beer. Murky burgundy colour. Nose is mainly lively cherry, some wood and damp straw. Little bit of funk. Touch of salty barrel. Mouth is sweet cherry at first, tart on the front, sweet in the middle, vanilla touch, maybe a lactic edge, then sour tartness at the back. lasting sweet vanilla on the tip, with a kind of sour fizzy RGC back. Not sure what this beer is trying to be, if the cherry overwhelms it, or the cherry is it. Tasty beer though.

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2011 Dark red colour, almost like a bourgogne. Slightly hazy, with a fast disappearing pinkish white head. Aroma very much of sour cherries. Some light almond / cherry pips. Light vanilla. Flavour is delicate and light. Sour cherries. Hint of sweet. Bit oily texture.
Reminding of the sour cherry (krieken) sauce that is quite common in Belgium, and spot on how I like this sauce (tart and with background of the cherry pips). But Kerasus just lacks any pronounced flavour of beer or lambic. Very enjoyable nontheless.

Dark ruby color; high carbonation; medium sized, light pink head. The first aroma perceived is old wood (barrels), then malt, light vanilla, light sourness and delicate cherries. The body is quite light, the mouthfeel weak; there is a delicate flavor of cherries and dry wood; low bitterness and almost no sourness, but there are soft tannins in the end; the final is quite empty.
Not bad, but the body is too weak.

Countbeer (5722) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JUN 10, 2011
Bottle: Some airy light pink bubbles as lacing on top of a clear cherry colored beer. Smell yeast, sour, yoghurt, caramel and malts. Taste is a light mix of cherries, yoghurt, light sour and yeast. Really light body: low carbo, medium body, light dry light tingly mouthfeel and light watery texture.

maledictum (734) - Pyongyang, NORTH KOREA - JUN 6, 2011
Bottle. Pours a slightly brownish, red liquid with a pink head. Aroma is a bit acidic and quite sweet with loads of cherry lollipop and cherries. Maybe a bit synthetic, definitely very fruity. Taste is actually rather dry, with lots of cherries and a hint of salad stalks towards the end. The acidity is quite held back, and the beer unfortunately dies rather fast. Still an ok brew.

750 ml bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. 2009 vintage. Slight gush. 24MA11.

App.: Cloudy deep pinkish-brown with a small pinkish head. Aroma: A lot of minerals, frank tartness, a bit of sour cherry, light barnyard, horse blanket, leather, funk, bitter herbals, some faint brown sugar hints, pretty stern stuff. Palate: Medium-ish body, soft effervescence, a little astringency, puckering sourness. Flav.: Bracing sourness, some tart cherries, a little wood, only a touch of the Lambic/Saison character, hints of friendlier black cherries, a wee hint of brown sugar; really tart with a mineral and watery tart cherry finish.

Just about turned my face inside out. Too tart for this boy.
