Bottle pours cherry red with no head. This has an amazing aroma. Super tart with a dizzying acidity that makes me cringe. Is a bit thin for the body. The flavor was really disappointing. The cherry flavors came out, but the sour component was subdued and not really there. Just a big let down.

Bottle. Pours a slightly brownish, red liquid with a pink head. Aroma is a bit acidic and quite sweet with loads of cherry lollipop and cherries. Maybe a bit synthetic, definitely very fruity. Taste is actually rather dry, with lots of cherries and a hint of salad stalks towards the end. The acidity is quite held back, and the beer unfortunately dies rather fast. Still an ok brew.

Pours clear dark red with a light pink head that did not stay.
Aroma of sour fruits, cherries, grapes. Flavors of sour fruits, red berries, and little watery. Low carbonation with some sourness, and little watery finish. Something is missing here.

Draft… Pre-C&P’sLYFO Throwdown… Clear blood-red ale with a small, creamy, pink head. The nose is subtle; just a pinch fruity and a smidge spicy. Extremely restrained; too much work pulling any aroma at all out of the glass. Light-bodied with fizzy carbonation. Perfectly-balanced. Very lightly acidic and just a touch fruity. Much like the aroma, the flavor is ultra subtle and thin. Crisp, clean finish. Not much too it. Six percent alcohol? It’s well-hidden… not always an asset. Belgian table beer, I think.

Draft at Redlight Redlight. Pours a crystal clear, bright crimson red color strewn with fizzy carbonation bubbles. A minimal, quickly disappearing head leaves no lacing behind. There’s not much to the nose, really just a bit of cardboard, stale grain, and mildly tart red cherries. There’s no depth of aroma whatsoever. Likewise, the flavor fails to impress. Slightly medicinal, the sweet-tart cherry seems flat, and the grain bill just seems spent.
Light and watery, the body is intensely fizzy and just far from appealing. This is one of the poorer attempts at sour ale in my recent memory.
