gEUS (1723) - Linden, - NOV 14, 2012
750 ml bottle - pours deep amber with a red hue, no head. Aroma reveals the sour character of this beer; citrus, cherries, added with a tad of oak. Body is light and one-sided on the sourness; not balanced by a round mouthfeel or sweetness one can find with a good gueuze or a for example a Supplication. Taste is cherries and tart forest fruits all over. A pity it only goes to the sour side.

@ BBF 2016 Opaque red, red tanned lacing foam head. Fresh sour cherry aroma and taste, very nice. Beer with a bite. Supposed to be our last beer, but it did not work out that way. (Bodegraven 201609)

500ml bottle @ home bought Dekoninck bierhalle Vichte. 8.5%. Dark red/brown and clear. Very sour, slight taste of cherries with something more bitter (dark chocolate). Thoroughly enjoyed it, not acidic for its sourness or strength. Highly carbonated on opening.
