Pinball (8561) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 21, 2012
bottle from beer planet. For an alvinne almost a non-gusher. pours dark brown with a fluffy light brown to brown head. very sweet very dark dried fruity aroma, raisins, prunes, grapes, dates, figs, sweet malts, very faint spicy licorice and soy sauce, quite complex fruity aroma. flavor is alc. bitterness, dried fruits, belgian yeasty spices, bitter malty caramel, mild sweet licorice. A Lot less fruity than the aroma , and the alc. is quite noticeable. some sweet bitter dark dried fruty notes (bitter fruity caramel stick, a little burned plastic) that are pretty interesting. A rather brutal and not very refined quad, but interesting.

Black colour, very little head. Aroma of roasted malts, red wine, port and chocolate. Rather dry, red wine flavour, astringent, vanilla. Dry, astringent finish. Quite lovely.
Definitely amongst the top beers served at Zythos. Nice one!

Bottled 330ml (BB 01/2015)
Thanks bierkoning! Dark brown color, good brown head. Aroma is a bit tart, has roasted notes, cellar and vegetables. Full-bodied, liquerish palate. Quite sweet with alcohol, plums, licorice and some vegetables. Lingering sweetness and alcohol in the aftertaste. Ok dessert beer, but aroma is not very good.

Fin (5749) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2012
Bottle at Zythos, Brabanthal, Leuven, Belgium Saturday 28th April 2012 Very dark brown in colour, sweet in the mouth initially, in fact the sweetness lingers. Chocolate with a big alcoholic kick, crikey I really wasn’t aware that this was 13.9% when ordering. Dark molasses and some bitter honey combine, sweet fruity with dark sticky fruits in abundance. Good stuff from Alvinne. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Bottle @ ZBF 2012 // dark brown going to black with close ton o head // smell is quite sweet & malt heavy, caramel, dark fruits, I am getting really gravy on this (vleesjus) // taste is gravy (definitely there in an amazing way), sweet, chocolate, thick malts, caramel, dark fruits, hints of liquorish & syrup, wood,… warming sure but boozy no // slick, substantial body, low carb. , definitely a sipper / would have preferred this at home as opposed to a festival but excellent & among best things Alvinne (probably best) has done so far

Prokroustis (428) - Thessaloniki, GREECE - APR 21, 2012
Pitch dark brown body with a big off white head. Malty aroma with chocolate, bread, caramel, some coffee, licorice. Full, smooth, alcoholic palate. Great flavour with chocolate, caramel, licorice, a plum note and a slight bitterness in the finish. Best one from Alvinne so far.

33 cl bottle - pours hazy dark brown with beige head. Nose of caramel, brown sugar, malt, a bit of balsamic vinegar. Full body, plenty of sweetness and warm alcohol glowth. Taste is rather one-sided. Finish is slightly bitter, doesn’t last long.
