50 cl. bottle sampled @ GBF 2013. Pours black with a huge descending mocha head. Nose is nicely lactic with sweet chocolate milk, sweet bourbon, coffee with milk and very faint chilli. Taste is sweet lactic bacteria & lactic nature, chocolate milk, very creamy coffee with milk, hint black pepper, milk chocolate, chilli is light, slight burn in the very back. Very creamy and milky. Absolutely delicious, not over-the-top and way better than the Bourbon BA version. Best Mano Negra so far for me. Thx! to the RB Crew for sharing.

The night I slept at the Alvinne brewery. Madness. Cheers Glen, cheers MesandSim. Poured a dark brown, medium tan head. Aroma is mild chilli, bourbon, woody notes, toffee sweetness. Flavour is smooth and woody, chilli really grows in the finish. Obviously very me, I loved this stuff. Fantastic beer. And I was very very drunk.

Bouteille @ 4de Gentse Bierfestival.

Pour from Glenn at the B&B thanks man !

Overall good soft not harsh imperial stout, with lovely chocolate notes, every so slight hint of Bourbon Barrel ( would love to know wich brand used ) some touch of smoke and bit vanilla and cask sweetness, very mild chili flavour, i don’t mind to drink a chili beer with a punch of chili but this was nice too, great job !

Bottle: served in a Palm snifter: Medium sized brown foamy head on top of a black colored beer. Aromas of white wine, oak, wet wood, some mint, barley malt roast, tobacco, spices, some cream, liquorice wood, wood roast and some chalk. Flavours of spices, roast, wood, wood roast, bitters, malt roast, pepper, some cloves, light vinous, bay leaf, some oak, light oatmeal, lighter dry, liquorice wood, some yeast an dusty pepper. Nice! Aftertaste is a mix of spices, pepper, bitters, roast, wood and barley malts. Low carbo, bit blown creamy mouthfeel, full bodied and a creamy texture. Nice balanced pepper, like it. But the wood part is a bit strange, wet wood ish... But not that bad!

On tap at Borefts. Dark, thick tan head. Hint of vinegar in the aroma. Flavor is pickled, hot, smooth, with a good burn and a vegetal finish.

Enjoyed at the 4de Gents Bierfestival, 2013. The 50cl bottle pours with a dark mahogany body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up smooth sweetened dark roasted malts and toffee mixed with thin ribbons of red wine tartness. The taste starts with all kinds of notes like sweet malts, chocolate malts, toffee and a bit of red wine. Toward midway a pleasing chili heat note grows to modest levels into the finish. I didn’t really notice much in the way of barrel notes but I didn’t miss them either. This works pretty well.
