2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Three year old bottle at home. A real gusher. Has a dark brown to black color with a small light brown head. Aroma of oak, vinegar, roasted malt, rye bread, wet basement and some coffee. A bit odd and unbalanced. The flavor is also strange with more basement that fades into roasted malt, ash and some alcohol. A little better but still unbalanced. Has a silky mouth feel, medium body and a light to medium bitterness. I guess this beer is better on another occasion but the gushing are affecting my experience.

Drank @ Borefts 2015 (saturday). The beer is somewhat bitter and coffee, but is watery. Not a compelling taste. Chili in the afteraste, a bit too much.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a 330ml bottle on 1/8/2015. Pours a deep brown with not much of a head. Has a chocolatey aroma with a touch of red wine in the mix. There’s more chocolate and wine in the flavour, a little soy, roasted malt, and a moderate spicy bitterness. The palate in thin for an impy and the carbonation soft. Definitely does not present as 10%. Reasonably drinkable but pretty forgettable as far as impys go.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Deep dark brown with sizeable tan head, but no lacing to speak of. The aroma definitely has the trademark morpheus yeast sourness, some dark chocolate, dank hops and a bit of molasses. The taste is a battle between sweetness, sourness and roastiness. Molasses, dark chocolate, then balsamic vinegar, then coffee roastiness and bitterness. Full bodied, 10% ABV not really noticeable. Too much clashing of flavours rather than complementing for my likes.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Dark brown, white head - very big, th ebeer is overcarbonated. In aroma mainly caramel and some fruity esters. In taste again caramel, fruits and sour notes, especially in the finish. Medium bodied, medium bitter finish with low sournesss. In overall not recommend, if you look for Imp Stout - it’s not a good example.

15cl taster @ de 24uurs van Maastricht. Very dark brown, beige foamy head. Nose is quite pleasant, with some fruity soreness. Tastewise it’s a strangely sour RIS, roasted malts meeting geuze: not a well preformed experiment imo. Dry finish. Medium to high carbonation, light body.
