Pitch black with sediments, big and foamy head. Very carbonated, didn’t stop pouring. Aromas to chocolate and lactic yeast. Bitterness like liquorice or instant coffee. Medium development and body. Creamy texture. Not bad, but not among the best stouts.

Alvinne Mano Negra 10% Imperial Stout from Belgium Big yeasty roasty banana and chocolate aroma with a touch of smoke. The taste is smoked peat and bitter dark chocolate, really up there 90% cacao. The finish is a bit sweet. This is dark bittersweet smokey stuff. Really nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Looks .. Murky dark brown, medium tan head. Smells..dried fruits.. Raisin, figs, some woody and earthy notes, old sour danky fruits..cherry maybe. Tastes..lots of dusty choc/cocoa, slight fruity tart aspect, definitely the Morpheus yeast has a real character, I like it alot and gig the hell out of this brewery!

Bottle share, many thanks to Leighton. As ’Alvinne Mano Negra’. Following the gush it’s a murky dirty brown beer, small foamy brown head, some sediment. Aroma is redcurrant, some coffee and malt vinegar. Body is medium, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is chocolatey, vinegar and red wine. I tasted this one ’blind’ without knowing the style, and I thought it tasted like a rounded chocolatey sour brown. Would be pretty disappointed if I picked this up thinking I was getting a stout, but it’s still an enjoyable beer if you don’t mind them tart.

Bottle shared in London - picked up at Alvinne back in 2011. Massive gusher - you got me again, Alvinne. Pours deep brown with lots of sediment and a creamy beige head. The nose has some old leather, hints of cocoa, burnt wood, dried tangy dark fruits. Medium sweet flavor with bittersweet cocoa, scorched earth, wood, old leathery berries. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Dry finish, moderately roasty, more bitter chocolate, earth, dried fruits. Not bad.

4+ year bottle care of LKS. Massive big dirty gusher! It pours jet black with a massive tan head. Loads of floaters......The nose is rich, bitter - sweet, jammy fruits, fruit compote, creamy chocolate, light spice and toast. The taste is bitter - sweet, rich roast, creamy plenty of dark fruit, Dandelion & Burdock, fruit cake, toasty and fruit compote with a smooth finish. Medium - full body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Looks a bit filthy, but it tastes quite fruity and mellow.

Bottle at Gainsbar. Very interesting, roasty but light, choc, caramel, decent bitterness, bit of funk. Bit yoghurt like. Very nice. Dry. Not even a hint of the booze.

Pitch black, effervescent, medium, fne, tan head. Very tart and als roasted, wood, coffee, dark chocolate, grpaefruit, horse blanket. Bitter, funky finsh wit charcoql, bitter hos, bitter brett. Brett all ov ths one, tho less lactic in flavor and not acetic. Still a bit lactic, creamy. Crazy stuff. Vy fun. Not quite great, but pretty good.
