3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 jerohen (1793) - Bussum, - NOV 3, 2009
Tasted at 1st Borefts Beer Festival, Bodegraven (can’t recall whether it was on draft or from bottle). Black appearance. Roasted notes, some chocolate. Neither complexity nor balance, but this might be because it was served between all those other brilliant beers at this festival.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Case (100) - GERMANY - MAY 24, 2012
Pours black with large brown head. Aromas of coffee and dark chocolate fill the nose. Taste is roasty, loads of chocolate, espresso, licorice, light spicyness and a little bit of sourness that comes from Alvinne’s signature "Morpheus" yeast. Very good, complex and not too sweet impy stout.

Bottle@ Kulminator. Black coloured beer with a small brown head. Strong alcoholic and spicy hinted aroma with some very light roasted malty touches. MEdium to full palate. Finish is full malty roasted, spicy alcoholic with a long ending and some bitter roasted touches. Not bad at all.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 erickok (1061) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - MAY 7, 2012
Very black, with a creamy beige head that leaves a lot of lacing. Sweet, raisin aroma, yeasty, raw malt. Not very complex actually. Also a quad, not an impy. Malty base taste, some roasted coffee, bit foamy. Enough hop balance. Hard to rate this one. The taste is quite sweet and well developed, but the aroma stays behind. I do like this. (33cl bottle, bit expensive)
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Gerbeer (122) - vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 4, 2012
Pours a very dark brown with a light tan head. Tiny bubbles. Thick like espresso. Funky nose - hard to distinguish aroma except for chocolate hints. Smooth creamy mouth reminiscent of chocolate milk. Light for a stout.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 17, 2012
Dumpy 33cl brown bottle, bought at the 2010 Pre-Zythos fest bottleshop within the event organised by GlennC at Alvinne (March time).
The bottle was opened and poured into a Westmalle chalice mid August 2010.
Dark brown, almost black in appearance, with a creamy tanned head sat on top. Everything looks good in a Westmalle chalice though!
The aroma was of chocolate, earthy molasses, some coffee and hints of liquorice.
The flavours follow the smells, but the coffee and liquorice advance to equal billing with the molasses and chocolate in the taste.
Rich, semi-creamy and very alcoholic (noticed more as the mouth dries).
Different and most drinkable.
