Bottle courtesy of Glenn at the brewery. Thanks! A: Deep orange color with an edge head and little lacing. S: Subtle aroma of whisky with notes of caramel, butterscotch and light smoke. T: Flavor starts sour, then orange peel and coriander show up. Sour. Bourbon is subtle, mostly evident in the finish. M: Good body. D: Superb, to be sought after. Canít wait to see more variants.

500 ml. bottle sampled @ 19de Nationale Bierhappening: pours an orange / darker amber, little head - smell is very impressive, sweet caramel, honey, bourbon, berries, sugar,... - taste is sweet caramel, toffee, warming bourbon, vanilla, thick malts, sugar, apples, some dark fruits, serious honey, light booze in the back - belgian strong ale / barley wine hybrid - creamy, lightly syrupy body, way better than expected an base beer - this is sweet Belgian goodness

A Mes rate. Bottle at 1st Borefts Beer Festival.
Excellent clean gold with a good white head and lace. Aroma is amazing. Fruit a plenty, really good sugary notes and some excellent barrelly notes. The flavour is equally brilliant. Soft and sweet, beautiful apples and tropical fruit. Unusual juicy yet dry feel. Excellent barrelly character and gorrrrrrgeous booze in the very lengthy finish. Not my best rate but this is one of Davey and Glennís best.

Small bottle thanks to GlennC! Wow, I can already tell Iím going to love this, these are my favorite types of beers. Pours a clear bright orange with a fine fizzy white bubbly froth. Aroma is fantastic! bright juicy orange tangerine, very bright, notes of vanilla with a great bourbon note, love it! Flavor is same but just a tad hot, juicy tangerine, very bourbon forward which is fine by my, has enough bright citrus to make it really nicely offset. Medium/light bodied with sharp carbonation a bit sugary. I really really really love this beer!

Bottle at 1st Borefts BF 09. Subtle vanilla bourbon aroma. Thatís really good. Flavour of the beer still comes through with a lovely vanilla edge and touch of bourbon on finish. Itís one of the best bourbon barrel beers Iíve had. Davy and Glen said that they wanted something a bit more subtle than some barrel aged beers and they have got it just right for my taste at least. Lovely bit of candied/sour/tangerine/orange fruit comes through on the swallow. Beer of the day for me (apart from the Dirty Horse of course).

50cl bottle. It pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty spicy woody bourbon aroma with some yeasty hints. Sweetish malty spicy vanilla bourbon flavor with hints of caramel and yeast. Has a sweetish malty spicy woody vanilla and bourbon finish.

Small off-white head over dullish peach-coloured beer, full of little grey specks. Very alcoholic nose with an inviting jumble of yeast-induced fruity esters, further wood, smelling somehow vinous ŗnd Bretty. Again Brett streak, dough flavour, alcohol gradually building up in force, fusels, alcohol-drenched wood, white bread seeped in Bourbon, sherry and brandy. Thinned down by the alcohol, still a well-bodied, fiery alcoholic MF, with at the same time a velvety texture. IMO, one of the best Oak Collection Alvinnes. The nose is heavenly from the word go, but the taste had to grow on me.

Cerveza con bastante sabor y aroma a Bourbon, quizŠ demasiado. El sabor a alcohol es inevitable. Muy rica.

Copper colour with an off white head that quickly diminishes, dissapearing in a few minutes. Aroma is strong bourbon and barrels, notes of caramel and toffee, red fruits are also present. Flavor is dominated by bourbon from the beginning to the end; red ripe fruits are present woth intense notes of caramel and raisins, moderate sweet at the beginning with a final mild bittery with medium duration. The final is dominated by bourbon notes and some toffee and caramelish hints with a good duration in the mouth.

Bottle. Bourbon barrel taste light, aroma marzipan bit, very smooth and easy to drink. Fruity, rich and full. Bit sweet, Was quite toasted at this stage. Seems like I liked it.
